Default New selling limit, 10 items allowed only

Hi all,

I am from singapore and recently i have encountered a situation whereby as a new seller i am only allowed to sell 10 items (Active Listing + Item Sold). According to ebay, they would automatically increase the limits as we build up a good selling history.

This is kind of disastrous as not all buyers leave feedbacks and how can we survive just by selling 10 items? Anyone encounter the same thing? Any idea what to do with it?

If it's 10 active and sold, what happens once you sell 10? Do they increase the limit as long as you get no complaints?

100 limit is for private sellers, business sellers get more

You must have triggered something when you set your account up to trigger a 10 item limit.

Would being from Singapore trigger it?

I am in Thailand and I have the same thing..

Ebay has changed the way it deals with sellers in S.E.A. , Things are more difficult now.

I wonder how many feedback you need to have this lifted ?

I would bet 20 DSR at least - 66% of your max withing month operation - effectively resulting in a 90 day "probation" period. What a lowball policy - aimed at avoiding fraud but hurts legit sellers ....no judgement on my part.

No variations. Yes 10 items per month, until further notice. -_-

I don't know how long do they take to lift the limit, but i actually tried building my own FB and it was worse, i got MC034 Feedback Manipulation, suspended for 30 days.

More accounts doesnt help when you can only sell 10 items and wait for their judgement on your account. =(

The limit is automatically increased as you receive feedback from your sold items, and after 30 days you can list another 10 items. So after 2 months, you can have 20 feedback and you can list 20-30 items, then on the 3rd month you have 50 feedback and you can list 100 items, etc.

You can sell on 50 accounts, 10 items each, that's 500 items a month.

I do everything in the us and I recommend you do the following if your overseas and limited to many things:

1. Open multiple accounts and spread out.
2. Think positive that money will come your way in your head.
3. Pray to your divine self that ebay goes excellent for you.

Need help to clear things out. Firstly when you guys said 10 items per-month does this mean 10 different listings or this including the quantity as well?

For example you have only two listings and each listing has 5 in quantity so you already hit the limit?

Lastly once hit the limit 10 per month can some item be ended earlier(especially those with high quantity) then replaced with a new listing with fewer quantity so in general more different listings could be created? Will this reset the counter?

Thanks a millions!

It means Quantity as well. So 1 listing with 10 colors that's all your able to list. My limit in the states is 100.

So what I do I just list 1 per size and as I sell i relist that size sold instead of listing 5 per each giving me more room to list different items

It will matter in those fields with bad competitors.

And what happens to NPBs do they count as a sale or would you be allowed to relist?

So guys since I have already hit the limit with just two listings because each has 5 in quantity...can I end them earlier and re-list them with fewer quantity so that I could spread out with more different listings? Thanks again!

Yes. The limit is 10 items, SOLD and ACTIVE, not ended. So you can have:

3 Sold + 7 Active
1 Sold + 9 Active
8 Sold + 2 Active

etc.

In my opinion, this is how an eBay account should be run anyways. Sell 10 items, then let the feedback come in, then sell more. Nothing wrong with that. If you sell 100 items on a brand new account, you're bound to get suspended quite fast. This limit will actually help eBay sellers, trust me.

If you end your 10 listings now you wont be able to list again for 30 days. So just create multiple accounts or wait the 30 days. I know it sucks.

That counts as completed listings.
