Turbo lister??
I dont think copying other people's listing is a good idea, i dont think ebay take to it very nicely? Espcecially when the original seller finds that you copied it, you will go down |

One time on ebay some other seller was using one of my pics and description I reported him to ebay and within 1 hour his auctions were down. I recommend dont use another ebayers pics. |

I need both solutions:
1. copy and save my auctions and ability to relist them on my others accounts
2. grab other sellers auctions.
Tubolister not good for both tasks.

If the seller hasn't taken the extra minute to protect his listing, right click on view source. Copy the html for the listing itself (not all of it).
I create and save all my listings as html anyway even for same account.
I actually HATE when people protect their listings and 9 times out of 10 it isn't because I want to copy it, but selecting the text helps me read the pages- just have a habit of doing it and it's REALLY annoying when I can't because I keep forgetting within the listing lol
the 1 out of 10 times I do want to copy it isn't to use it myself, but keep an example of a really good write up that converts page counts to bids. |

You can view source even if they used illegal abusive javascript that hacks your right mouse button (illegal because it is technically a denial of service attack). You can also turn off javascript.
Copying listings flat out is not good. Try to change them. But if someone uses illegal abusive javascript that hacks your right mouse button then they deserve it. I've reported tons of people for this and eBay does nothing. When I email ebay and ask if it is a violation, eBay refuses to answer my question and just gives random unrelated form letters.
So again, while copying outright without is wrong, if you are going to copy then only do it for people who are abusing javascript like that because they deserve it. But also, if you do copy then you'll get your listings pulled. Since copying a listing is easy, this thread would make more sense for a program to automatically alter the text to de-plagarize it, but I am pretty sure such a tool has not been invented yet. |

well, i'm sure you could just have something like a word program that instead of flagging wrong spelling just flags every word and brings up thesaurus, but I'd say that'd be like spending 2 hours to create a great cheat sheet in school to save an hour studying. I'm sure there's a technical reason for your argument about the java, but from a practical standpoint I don't see why they are crooks and deserve it. Are you allowed to post the whole listing as a jpeg and host it offsite or is that against ebay rules because you could change the content later? That would get around any arguments about the java right? Maybe I'll include a pic that says 100% satisfaction guaranteed and change it final 10 minutes to say "all listings final, no refunds" lol | |
