First I'll give them an option of paying by check or MO I guess, and if they want to pay by CC, I'll send them a Google invoice. Or should I offer to take a CC right away.

Me persoanlly I offer CC right away, because I like to see the item is paid for. But checks and money orders are ok too, I use to offer money order and checks b4 I had a merchant account, and it worked fine.

I did everything necessary to integrate my Googlecheckout with cartmanager - everything tv posted above, plus API callback URL integration that has to be done inside the Googlecheckout account.

Yesterday I had quite a few auctions close - all received the emails from cartmanager, but so far several have already complained that there is no BUTTON to click on to even pay.

One said:
FYI I cannot pay from this as there is no link to google checkout!

another
I don't see a "button"

then cartmanager wrote back and said:
Your account looks good.

If your customer did not see the button they may have their 'Images' turned off they will need to right click on the page to see the button.

You can also resend the invoice to yourself to make sure the button is working correctly.

I tried all that, and finally, this is the general response customers are giving me:
You are going to have to give me another option, anything I click on in
this e-mail sends me to the cart manager site, asking me to sign up with
it. I don't want to sign up, just pay and be done.

and
I have not received a email with a payable link to google checkout and the cartmanager link does not take me to a invoice payable page. I have tired several times to right click in the two invoices that were sent. My images on my email are not turned off. I am more than willing to pay you for the two auctioned items, but I have no way to pay you with what has been sent. There is no problem on my end. Thank you

Any idea what is going on? One of the customers is on AOL. Maybe AOL does not jibe with cartmanager's emails?

Well lessee...under payment/gateway config I do not have a Gateway selected,
but I checked Visa/MC/Novus/Discover/AMEX and the show icons for them. But none of that matters probably because I am using this for Googlecheckout only.

Below, I have my Google merchant ID there and Google merchant key. These must be okay because the invoice does have my merchant name from my GC account listed at the top of the email.

Then the button I marked as small with colored background. I changed this to large and re-emailed the invoice to myself - still no button.

Under ebay auctions, I have the authorization right there. Basic ebay settings are fine - that is a little lame though to have to declare a default Shipping weight and charge, when would that ever be correct?

When i click
check item status / resend payment instructions
I do see the most recent five auctions and emails were sent.

Then I go to Googlecheckout...by the way on my account to get to settings I do not click on My Account then My Services - nothing even shows there. My settings button is on the Orders page.

So then I click on Settings, Integration...yup
this url
https://www.cartmanager.net/cgi-bin/...ifications.cgi

is there under API callback URL and XML is checked.

Hmm let me try something...is Shopping cart post security checked on yours? Maybe if I uncheck it will work better?

NOPE - no difference. Emailed invoice to myself, still no button to pay.

Seems that cartmanager email support is closed for the long weekend. Yesterday they were responding to my questions with amazing alacrity - within a few minutes at times!

I couldn't wait so I just went back and re-sent all the invoices, manually, through G.checkout itself. cartmanager will have to wait.

hey they tvvaughn, i have a couple of questions. After i followed your instructions and added google checkout and signed my cart up with ebay, it gives me three options on the page

Add A New Product - eBay only (non-inventory)

Basic eBay Settings

Check Item Status / Resend Payment Instructions

do i have to mess with any of those options or am I all done??? just sit back and wait till my auction ends???? just want to make sure i got this done all the way.

I emailed myself an invoice to another address I have and I got a screen that requires me to fill out all the info to open an account. Is this what all first time buyers see when they use Google?

i just hope thats not the case where the buyers will have to sign up for google in order to pay me through card. My idea of this whole cart thing was that it was going to automatically send the buyers a google checkout form with a checkout button so that they can just enter their credit card number and pay me.

You don't have to mess with any of those options, just sit back and wait for your option to end.

If you mean that you emailed yourself an invoice from cartmanager, maybe the link you are referring to is towards the bottom of the email - a direct link to cartmanager.com

That is NOT the payment button - which is still missing from all my emails - I have given up on cartmanager for now and am back to sending direct invoices from Googlecheckout.

The problem has been solved (that all my invoices were lacking the payment button). Was apparently a system-wide software bug:

Thank you for contacting CartManager.

The problem that was occurring was due to you only having Google Checkout as the only payment method. However, our developers were able to recognize the issue the cart was having and it has been resolved.

If you resend the invoices to your customers they should be able to checkout without any problems.

I asked cartmanager if they would extend my 14 day free trial, starting from today, as a concession for all the headaches.

No, it does not sound like you have the same problem. When my invoices lacked the checkout button, there was no way for customers to pay me at all.

So, what exactly is the issue?
