Default "Please Restore Your Account Access" - PayPal gone nuts?

I received an email from PayPal today for an account that was closed by them, because in their words it was a risk and they would like to part ways, blah blah, the usual, you know it. And they said they would hold the funds for 180 days, about $250, no big deal.

So the email today stated "Please Restore Your Account Access" and asked me to go through the steps in on the limitation screen to bring my account back to normal. I already did that though, and they declined it. So there's nothing left to do. Maybe a PayPal monkey hit the wrong button? Or..? I have no idea.

Hi the same thing happened to me, and I called paypal, and of course they kept the account closed. I also think that this may be to get people to open the email so they can track you, and perhaps suspend any current accounts that you have going. Needless to say, after reading this email, SUPERCLEAN your pc, ip, cookies, cache, etc.

imjustme, has it been 180 days? I was curious if they actually release the funds after the 180 days?

Im beginning to think luck is playing an important part in staying on. It seems they are making mistakes and have flaws in their system and it benefits some of us on this board.

Some people have stated that even after years paypal sometimes keeps the money.

Maybe paypal thinks unless the person is willing to sue, they don't have to bother.

I will let you know soon. I had one that they closed. It has been a little less the 180 days, but i got an email that said. "Your funds are now available to withdraw. Add a new bank account on to it and they did the 2 small deposit confirmation thing, but then it also let me withdraw the $400 balance right away. Will see when it hits my account.
