HI:
Ive read where some folks have had success with this--FOR ME personally--I can never get a paypal verif with Verizon Wireless.. they always want a landline..
Now-with ebay its diff-- A-ok..

So-Im thinking maybe now-theyre both using same 3rd party Veriifer??

Cant hurt to try...

A good one i thought may work right is if paypal are matching tel numbers to address's do as follows:-

Make an account in your next door neighbours address 1 or 2 doors down, make sure you have a near enough same name as your own. Put in your fake/voip whatever number, if you get the unmatched error im sure they send something in the post to verify !!

Right when it gets delivered, i dont know about you but my neighbours are quite good at sending letters over which get delivered to wrong address or address is wrong!!

Bingo your sorted!!
What you think?

The more i think about it, the more ilike this idea.

For instance, lets say i like at number 101 Bolder drive, but the road off mine is called bolder avenue. I could register a account to that address and the owner would no doubt think the paypal letter that comes through is for me! We have had mail delivered to there by accident before and he brangit round

Default UK paypal phone verification

Anyone got any up to date ways around phone verification for PayPal UK?
I thought all I needed was a local area code until I read this post.

Default uk verification

from what ive been reading, address and number should match up, phone box debate, not sure about might be caught out, and dont want to be suspended after all the trouble of prepay cards and accounts etc, best to do real address of someone you know and written verification takes 2 weeks for code to arrive! or real address and number of someone you know. As i assume your addrss is supended. bye

boon, im pretty certain. 90% to be exact. That paypal now have a database which matches address's to tel numbers.

To be honest it would make sense if they did. They probably bought the db off BT as a new phonebook is out quite regular.

Apprently aswell they have all (Read somewhere) ex directory names, numbers etc. Not sure if thats allowed but yeah.

p.s As i work for a telecommunications company i did hear that BT were selling databases illegally. theregister.co.uk had a big thing on this. BT were fined massive ammounts. That's why you get bogus calls selling windows.

you have the databse in your housem thats a silly answer Pick up the BT phone book.
It's a free db.
Im pretty certain they can use it.

BUT i will say it may be just post code against area code then.

Thats called a phone book, and that doesnt connect an address to a fixed address.

Im 99% sure its connected by the phone number to post code. I have used the correct first 3 digit post code for each phone box locally and all have worked.

I have had failures, when using a postcode to me, then using phone verification the otherside of London

Default what exactly happens of the phone call verification

Hello all, just stumbled upon this site and been reading quite a few posts. Im a uk registered paypal and ebay user but have moved temporarily abroad. I started selling goods and have just received the email re: approaching 1700 pound level and need you to do 3 things etc etc. One of the loops paypal want me to jump through is to request via the website an instant automated phonecall. The registered number is my mums number as i used to live there so she can take the call as long as its automated.

So i need to know if this is always hte case and what will she need to do? I can call her on her mobile and speak ot her whilst she takes the call but just want to be prepared.

Also the thrid loop is describing my business. Im small scale, i make peanutes like less than 200quid a month. Do i really need to register as a business and obtain a vat number???

any help would help me out loads.

hi sorry on review on what ive posted i think it may sound like i want a solution on how to manage my account whilst being abroad. Sorry all i want to know or confirm rather is that the phone call ebay makes during this 1700 pound limit verication process is in fact fully automated.

Ive read a lot of posts here and its seems so but i havent read a post that gives an answer along the lines of "never heard of a case where it was with a human operator" "its always automatic" etc etc

any help will definately help out.

£67,000 a year and then you HAVE to pay vat. easy one. just make sure you understand as they can hit you back taxes. easy to set your own limit to avoid anyway. sometimes it suits people to register cos then you can claim vat back on your invoices . they pay you. but if your registered you have to record every transaction and pay all 17.5% to them 1/4 erly. blessin is you can knock off 17.5% the invoices against your tax./ but they check a lot
say you paid £500 vat on incoming invoices. then you can knock off the 500 from the tax you owe them.

HI:
On the PHONE CALL--
When Paypal calls (in the usa)--they are automated.. they say basically-hello this is paypal calling--if u are expecting this call please press 1, or 2, or 3, etc,.,then they will say- here is your 4 digit pin number, copy it down, and enter it on your paypal acct.
Thats it!
Good Luck
