Dear Seller,
As part of our ongoing efforts to provide the best possible customer experience, Amazon is implementing safety requirements on mobile phone batteries.
You are receiving this message because your listings for mobile phone batteries or chargers have been removed from Amazon because they were listed in the wrong product category. Refer to our Help topic for instructions on how to meet the safety requirements: https://sellercentral.amazon.com
After you’ve met the safety requirements, please list your offers in the correct category.
Mobile Phone Batteries
• 10700210 0210 – Batteries
• 10700211 0211
If your listings for mobile phone batteries or chargers have not been approved by March 30, 2018, and you have any inventory of these products remaining in our fulfillment centers at this time, please request removal within 30 days. Instructions for creating a removal order can be found here: https://sellercentral.amazon.com/gp/help/201436560. Standard FBA Return Fees or FBA Disposal Fees will apply.
You agree that all of the information you submit in response to this request is true.
Thank you for selling on Amazon.
Sincerely,

| SaiJin | 02-21-2018 01:37 AM | Re: Safety Team Call them up and ask.
It could be as simple as you just used the wrong category as they said and they found out that you didn't have the proper documentations. |
| GhostOfAmazon | 02-24-2018 11:46 PM | Re: Safety Team I'm assuming you didn't create the listing, and some other dumbass did, when he did he put it in the wrong category because he was trying to skirt around some kind of policy, this finally got caught by Amazon and now they're sending this email to everyone listing under this bogus listing. |
| Superfly101 | 02-27-2018 04:49 PM | It was because when seller support merges variations they always place them in a different category. We asked and they are purging the category like they did with Hoverboards as you need UL certification. We asked and now we are on the radar praying our response doesnt get us suspended.
Greetings,
We have not received a response to our previous request on [02/4/2018] for the items below:
In order to sell ASIN on Amazon, you must apply and submit the following:
1. Your seller ID ( merchant Token)/ vendor code associated to your account.
2. Your contact information (email address and phone number)
3. A list of ASINs you are applying to sell
4. Documentation evidencing that all Mobile phone wall chargers you are applying to sell are certified under UL 60950-1 Standard.
If you are not able to satisfactorily respond to these requests, your products may not be reinstated for sale on the website.
Best Regards,
Amazon.com Product Compliance

problem getting the tests done but it looks like now (even though we werent aware are in trouble now). |

Are you waiting for the OK to list mobile batteries from Amazon?
If so, would making your own listing be a risk? |
| Superfly101 | 02-27-2018 07:50 PM | Re: Safety Team Greenbean,
Not yet. i'm trying to figure out how to reply to the safety compliance team without
them canning our product listing permanently (even if we get the ul compliance test done) or our seller
account. |
| Superfly101 | 02-27-2018 07:53 PM | Re: Safety Team We had our own listing, its our own branded product. They want a UL certificate on the item, we dont have it and did not know that Amazon implemented this new requirement to have it. They have
taken down TONS of other vendors as well. |

| GhostOfAmazon | 03-02-2018 12:19 AM | Re: Safety Team Your seller account is NOT at risk.
Your ability to list the ASINs mentioned IS.
Stop panicking. |
| Superfly101 | 03-03-2018 04:32 PM | Lol, I'm not panicking about the account, I'm panicking about
the SKU's they just made us toss away 13K in GOOD safe inventory because of this new UL requirement. I'm pissed about that! amazon
make up crazy rules and don't care if you get hurt financially. It should be for new items after a specific date because we had sold tons of these and all 5-star feedback. What a waste of time and effort and money. |
| Superfly101 | 05-08-2018 06:28 AM | Re: Safety Team We got what they wanted. basically had to pay Amazons special rates over 10K and they just approved everything to relist. |

| Superfly101 | 05-08-2018 08:07 PM | They offered specific testing labs to work with for each product sku that was discounted. Normally, it costs about 12-15K per product so that would have been too expensive. |
| GhostOfAmazon | 05-14-2018 03:21 AM | Re: Safety Team lol sounds like a racket.
"Hey, you need these tests....and it will cost you 10k+ EACH.....OR we can test them for you....for 10k. ;) |
| SaiJin | 05-14-2018 10:27 AM | Re: Safety Team Hmmm.... your listings were approved the first time right? And now they are asking all these nonsense?
Amazon is such a pain, but I did fight with them about something similar to this a while back and even though it took over a month, my ASIN was magically fixed by them.
So perhaps try to call in and ask for the manager's help? |
| Superfly101 | 05-19-2018 01:21 PM | Re: Safety Team No, they provided no notice. They just sent us an email saying you can no longer sell these anymore without providing proof of these certifications. These our are new policy that we just implemented and provided this hidden "small" web link in seller central that shows you must have these or you will get your account and/or listings removed. They didn't conduct the test. Testing labs did. I think its because many peoples electronic batteries were catching on fire and the certification and internals used to pass the certification stops it. |
| Superfly101 | 05-19-2018 01:23 PM | Re: Safety Team Say you list a pair of jeans, its fine to sell. Now 6 months later, you receive an email saying hey this link here that you cant even easily find shows you need a special jean dye certification in order to sell them further. If you cant show us this certification, then we will remove your listings in 2 weeks and you need to remove your inventory. Thats what happened. Its bs. | | All times are GMT -5.
