MAC address change for Amazon - Necessary or not?
Hi All,
The Amazon ghost guide says to change the MAC address on the PC network card and on the router.
I've been reading on this board that the book got the PC part wrong.
Can someone confirm that MAC address has to be changed and a PC or Router or both? |

Hello Elmo. So does it mean that I just need a new user account and a good IP to create Amazon? I don't need to clean the MAC address? |

So in conclusion. We only need to have a new user account and clean IP. If we can get a new MAC then it's better but if not then it is still okay!

| User accounts is not the way to go with amazon. Either install a virtual machine or get a new/different computer per account. |

No no, you need more than that, either use a Virtual machine or get a new cheap laptop.
you cannot just make a new user account on the same computer.
What I did a long time ago was I used the same PC, but I removed the LAN card and replaced it with a new one. But this is just for 1 account. |

To piggy back on this, I always say better safe than sorry, I know it can get to be a lot, if you have a lot of accounts, but for amazon, I get a new laptop for each account, so no risk of browser fingerprinting, an accidental leak, etc. |

Yea, that's what I like about using a dedicated machine.
And I know that people think laptops are expensive, but if you are smart, you can shop. |

Tablets like iPads or other brands?
For me there are some spots on amazon that the mobile browser is not functioning properly.
Like scrolling within a scroll window. The finger just wouldn't select parts of it.
I used to use an Ipad |
