Taking a while to verify stealth account - bad sign?
 

Been stuck a few days waiting for a reply from Amazon after supplying stealth utr details.
With many ppl's accounts seemingly passed within a few hours, is this a sign they are checking me out thoroughly?
The utr should pass the validation formula test...but all the details are stealth and any check with hmrc (if they do this) would reveal a mismatch.

Have they asked for documentation to be uploaded?

Yes, had the account for about a year and they recently wanted it to be verified.

Bought stealth documents (ID, proof of address, proof of bank account) and submitted them.
They then asked to confirm legal entity. Knowing i have had sales that surpassed normal individual status i opted for sole trader and entered my stealth utr when asked.

Last upload prompt was bank account statement (again) and that was last week.
Getting suspicious of the delay.

....and there is the 'failed the verification process' email.

I'm resigning myself to creating short term accounts and losing them at the verification stage.

How much was your total sales when the doc request hit?

Been there done that. Its just a matter of being able to float the costs for 6 months till you can access that cash. Dunno if their April 18th changes are gonna cause a snag with that or what.

Looks like it was just over £7000. Less than i thought actually.

Regarding the "April 18th" changes, are you referring to changes made this past April 2017? Or do you expect more changes in April 2018?

So you provided bank statement before which of course was showing personal name and then when they asked to provide New statement you provided same statement?

Hmm.... is this amazon UK only or on all platforms?
