Some new changes to Amazon, couldn't create a new account just yet, asking for help
 

Some new changes include requiring 2 step verification. Also needed, a bank account right from the get go. I got those two taken care of. Of course, need a VCC, got that taken care of, verification and everything.

The tricky part is the tax, W8eb or something of that matter. I haven't created an account for a long time so Amazon wants an interview because something was inconsistent with what I entered, but my situation is unique, so hear me out.

I'm working with a supplier in China, I entered his name, but used a US address to register. US phone number, everything. The only thing I did different was that I'm not a US citizen. Then that's when problems occurred. It gave me the inconsistent message and I need to verify.

Would it have been easier if I just said I was a US citizen in the first place and NOT have to require SSN or EIN?

I hope not, because wouldn't that mean the end of Amazon stealth? That you need to provide a SSN right from the get go?

Could I just used my stealth name, not provide a SSN/EIN and sell right from the get go, have 50 listings or whatevers before I have to provide SSN? Thanks.

Ok, I just found out that I was on a Pro Merchant account, apparently Amazon does this by default or they make the buttons really small so you would've missed it. They tried to charge 39.99 from my VCC right from the get go, I was like wtf??? Other than that, would i have been ok if I chose to sell as individual? None of that Tax id or SSN crap? Thanks.

Based on reports from the past several months. EVERYTHING needs to be supplied up front on amazon accounts.

They now require all docs upfront. I am very good at making fully verified amz pro accounts

If I'm not mistaken it's State ID and SSN.
And it's individual account

Hi Guys,

I need some help. I have been using the Amazon stealth book for a while now and up to recently it has been really successful. However in the past month, whenever I try to make a new account using the same tried and trusted methods and supplying the photo id and bank statements they require, they always respond saying that the documents submitted cannot be verified and therefore I cannot sell on Amazon.
Does anyone know what has changed?
Does anyone know how Amazon verify documents such as a drivers licence or passport?
This morning I submitted a new application with documents and within an hour they declined as above?
Would appreciate any help you can offer

I think they upgraded the detection method for verifying the docs.

You mean for Amazon.com accounts , For Amazon EU accounts you can still add deposit method after the account is created.

The more accounts that go through verification the more people are having to submit documents for verification

The reps are most likely getting better at reviewing these documents, hence the higher fail rate these days to get approved

No, the amazon ghost is still very much alive.

I'm assuming the documents you sent in are all from USA?

Another thing I know is that Amazon is making some changes to accounts algo since Mid March

Care to elaborate on what changes.

2. A to Z team's getting more Stupid than last year. Order Delivered with Signature and still lost, need to contact Jeff to fix the issue.

Dont you have to provide tax id info or they dont let you sell in usa?

They have to do the tax form just like everyone,but its a different form if your from another country.
