It's getting harder and harder
 

I used to create seller accounts easy. I had a formula down pat. For the first time in a long time Im struggling to create a new account. I came across a new sign up process I see amazon has implemented. No more utility bills made things harder. Along with the fact that they don't just accept business certificates as well. They want ID from the actual owner of the business. I keep getting failed documents uploaded. This is frustrating. I knew things would get harder. But this has been real tough real quick.

if you are getting faild document upload then just call them to resolve your issue.

it's never really "simple" with amazon... the strong survives there.

But do try to call and talk to seller support.

If all fails you can always buy an account as an alternative option from the marketplace.

What do you mean no more utility bills? New accounts require ID and a utility bill. Amazon only requires an ID now?

Yes, amazon states now (and this is for U.S. accounts). That utility bills and Business certificates are no longer accepted. They now want an ID (Passport or DL) along with a Bank Statement and/or Credit card statement.

When I go back into the account and try again. I'll show you a screenshot of the "We no longer accept utility bills". Trust me. I was shocked when I saw this too. Because that's what I use to normally make accounts. I've made a handful of accounts over the past 3 years. This has been the toughest one.

There are no sellers of Amazon accounts on the marketplace.
Beautiful accounts do not pass utility bill verification.

utility bills show you live at the address,but DL or passport shows who you are,cc and bank statements show you have a credit history.
If AMZN is liable for what third party sellers sell,it will be more selective on who and what you sell.
'The strongest survive ' ,AMZN is going to favor the most profitable items in search,profitable to AMZN,not the seller,and it decides its own private brands are the most profitable.

Seems like there's no longer a number you can call. Seller central just reaches you by email now. Amazon has changed up everything. This has gotten difficult.

Since August. Been trying to create this account since then. Failing so far.

The shops still go through the ID + bank verification, then business license and utility review.

I offer 2 packages

1. unverified with information and no guarantee of passing
2. fully verified shop, no further verification required

This is for USA accounts right?

I just made an account + ipburger VPN and I don't see this issue.
In fact I didn't even get asked for any docs.

No passport, no bank statement, no business license. No utility bill as well?. Its weird, because i just tried to create individuals and professionals and they required most of these docs. What country are you are you creating the accounts?

Were you able to list anything? or have any sales at all?

It's news to me that you weren't asked for any sort of verification when creating a new seller account (US Amazon.com).

Amazons been asking for this stuff since beginning 2017.Your late to the party.And no you cant just call and have issues resolved lol,otherwise we'd all be doing that.Seller support is pretty much useless.The most they can do is waste 30 minutes of your time just to tell you in the end that they will email performance and for us to wait up until 48 hours.You can save your 30 minutes and email performance yourself.

Certain countrys sometimes glitch through amazons system.You can sign up for amazon.com using outside country address.But if this person made 10 accounts in a row he would def see some doc request.Ive gotten lucky myself a few times and glitched through with out the identity verification request.The utility bill request is triggered though,its very possible to not get that request.But those were just luck.Im pretty sure everyone has to do the government ID request.
