Google Voice Deleted Number, Can't Provide OTP
 

Hope all is well guys

The *******s at Google are f#cking me again, this time with their google voice expiration date, had the account since 2017, no need to use it in a few months and these *******s go ahead and delete it! Unbelievable

So now I have to submit a form of ID

Has anyone had experience doing this? This is an aged, quality account and I do not want to put it at risk at all

Do names and address have to match up? What are they looking for exactly when you upload it

What are you talking about? Amazon deleted your number because it's google voice?
Or google deleted your number?

Yes, I have had several instances of Google Voice deleting numbers.

The good news is 90% of the time the numbers were still in the system and unclaimed to get it back.

Did you check to see if this one was still available?

Hey, yes I did try to get the number back but it's already been claimed

Google deleted the number, it "expired"

If it expired didn't they warn you that you need to use the number within the month?

If google deleted his number and it's claimed, that's it.
I'm sure google warned him multiple times to use the number before they deleted it.

THe only way to access his amazon acc now is to provide them with ID so they'll reset the account OTP

If you have access to your Amazon account, set 2-factor authentication instead of the number.

Google does warn you at 30 days and at 7 days before the expiration.
very reasonable.
No point in blaming others for their established (and advertised) business practices and policies - especially when youre getting those services for free.
You have to be on top of your own accts.

Problem is if the number expired and that's his security to log in, he'll have to reset the acc before doing an OTP

Only way to fix this by sending the ID to Amazon
