Amazon Seller Account
 

Hello

I was going through the Amazon Seller Account setup and I see Amazon asks for one of two forms of verification:

1) Passport
2) License
3) National ID

Is there any country where Amazon does not request this info? If not, what is the point of paying $1,000 to purchase an Amazon Seller Account from a seller like Beautiful if I will be required to link my own passport, license etc after purchase?

Or can I enter any number for the passport, license or national ID?

I have no issue changing the name, phone numbers, email, bank accounts, etc the problem is specifically with verifying identify via passport, license etc. It doesn't seem there's a way around this, especially if Amazon verifies the numbers submitted.

You only need passport/Id card and bank statement its not hard to create account if you data not used on amazon you can open account yourself

I don't get what you mean by this: "You only need passport/Id card.."

If I need to provide passport or national ID then this is essentially equivalent to creating account with my personal details. How in the world does it help to purchase a "stealth" account for $1,000 if I will need to provide my own passport / national ID or license?

Something isn't adding up.

Perhaps someone can provide info on whether it makes sense to purchase Amazon Ghost just to get an answer to this question.

What am I missing. Beautifuls advert says their account are 'verified and stress tested and stable'.

Have you actually bought the account from Beautiful or are you just trying to make your own?

I contacted Beautiful to purchase the account, as long as he can explain why I won't face the issue described.

So far he has not responded to my question.

A simple question deserves a simple answer - especially when I'm about to shell out $1,000 towards that question.

Even if you don't need to provide any documentation and account is fully verified still Amazon can request any document anytime specially Id and proof of address

Amazon can ask for ID at any time - the guide can't really address how to deal with ID request for a stealth account....ideally, if you operate well, you won't get asked for ID but if you do, you will have to be creative if you think about it...

I agree, especially when existing sellers are evasive about basic questions.

OP, you can't enter any number for passport or ID - I am fairly sure there are algorithms at play that allow for the platform to check if the number matches a valid number

The seller continues to be evasive about the question.

I asked the seller if a national ID, license or passport is already linked to these accounts. If not, are you sure I won't be asked to upload these docs in the future?

Anyone understand why us buyers don't deserve a response to a basic question like this before shelling out $1,000 - $2,500 for an account? (In Bitcoin no less)

Just to let you know Amazon can request any doc at anytime. You can be like the Chinese and employ people under you and require them to open an account

So amazon can double verify an account in the future like they did when postcards are required or when you need to reset something major in the account.

ID talk is against forum rules

Amazon shops that are already verified, are unlikely to trigger re-verification unless you do something that causes it. Such as leaving shops inactive, not paying fees in time, downgrading/upgrading, launching other international markets. All of those are avoidable.

If you're unhappy about the rules, or your questions are still not covered, there are many other shop sellers you can look for on the internet. Take a look at flippa and search for amazon stores, there's always a bunch of FBA established stores being listed there.

Honestly the reason I stopped replying to you is because it seems like you're just harassing/trolling. It also sounds like you've never had an amazon seller account, in which case just... just make your own? You don't need to purchase an established store if you've never made one before...
