Amazon Panics Sellers with Warning Email

By: Ina Steiner
"Amazon sent an email to sellers warning them it's against its policy to use multiple selling accounts, and warning them that if "certain circumstances" warranted them doing so, to make sure they listed the accounts in their Seller Central account explaining why.

Some sellers thought it was a spoof email while some worried it specifically directed at them even though they weren't violating the policy - but it appears it was sent to many sellers:"

Keep it Real.

I've had the warning once and denied it. Was able to keep the account so far but had to change the way I was using IP addresses.

I got one once but that was when my stepson ordered something on his prime account while sitting in my living room hooked up to my wireless. I could have kicked his ass, he knew better.

Black Friday is here. They have throwaway chromebooks for $99 at Best Buy.
If you are serious about preventing getting busted for multiple accounts, get a chromebook per account. Put a big fat sticker on it with the account name and never use it for anything but managing that account.
Amazon can track accounts by Browser ID, Hardware fingerprint and the least of these is IP address. If two accounts share all three, it is definitive. If you are lazy and use the same password, that will also show up. If you ever log in to your buying account from that computer it will become another datapoint.
Use a VPN per chromebook and then you are safe.
(I assume there is no need to mention that there can be no addresses overlapping, no banking info or CC overlap, no email overlap etc.. that is just common sense)

Do you need a von if you have a dedicated hotspot? I'm guessing double checking ?

Unless it's specifically targeted with repercussions then it's just a general warning. If you get linked, you don't get a warning.
