I don't now what the criteria is, or if it's all accounts, but it is in response to the massive number of fraudulent and scammer accounts in the past few months.

Amazon wants to make sure you are a legit business and credit worthy.

Seems to be cheaper for Amazon to use personnel to verify accounts than to take down the huge scammer/scraper accounts after they put up several thousand ⊗⊗⊗⊗ listings and flip unwary buyers off of Amazon to steal their money.

Anti fraud/counterfeit measures like this are long overdue. Requesting the same types of verification most of us had to give to set up wholesale accounts with our suppliers is hardly "treating sellers like trash." It makes a better venue for all of us so we don't lose sales to thieves and sellers of ⊗⊗⊗⊗ goods.

What is the solution for the guys who are not residing in US and have or want to have couple of stealth accounts?
How can they deal with the TAX documents things?

i think you need an EIN on USA and the Tax Return paper from IRS for the business. I never use professional accounts but I think you can get "creative" with those documents.

Open multiple Individual Seller Accounts, or even Pro Accounts and as long as the sales revenue never reaches the threshold of $20,000 sales or 200 items you should not worry about being reported to the IRS for tax purposes.

I have a valid EIN and I want to pay taxes, how do I get past the Identity Verification step?

Does the ID address have to match the information on the account or is it just to verify you're a legit person. I'm in the process of opening a 2nd store but stopped at the ID verification because I do not want to use my DL and get my account that is in good standing suspended. Can I just use someone else's ID to pass the verification?

I have an EIN I never used. Afraid to use it on Amazon ghost as my personal name is showing on my EIN. Suggestions please?
