Mac Address can't be detected by Amazon
 

The Amazon Ghost guide says that Amazon can detect MAC address of the user but this is not possible. Read here

Not sure why it's mentioned they can't as I know for a fact from friends who've worked with amazon for years that they do in fact track mac.

I believe its the MAC address of the ethernet card that's detected by Amazon and not of the PC

who are these friends that work at Amazon? What job titles? There is literally like a few people that program the website would know the answer

They're lying to you.

"When information leaves your computer, it has your computer’s network adapter’s MAC address. But when it arrives at your router, that MAC address is removed. When your router sends the information further upstream to your ISP’s router, it contains the MAC address of your router. When it moves from the ISP’s router to another router on the internet, it contains the MAC address of the ISP’s router.

When it comes to data traveling over the network, your MAC address never makes it further than the first piece of networking equipment between you and the internet."

So what can Amazon see on your PC so you can not use it after losing your selling privileges and do not say the IP address as they see something from that PC that prevents you from using it again to register an account.

It's easy to change a PC's mac address, but for the router is not that easy. I'm still looking for a way to easily change the router's mac address.

It could be a lot of things. IpAddress, time zones, browser profile, windows version. It could literally be a number of things. Mac isn’t it though.

If you mean factory resetting it, sure that can help wipe the slate clean. I'd personally erase the hard drive completely and install a fresh copy of windows.

As I know only installed clients may track the MAC address.
