Amazon Bank Account Question
 

When amazon does deposits into your account are they able to check the name that they are depositing the payments into?

For example if i have an amazon selling account already and make another via ipburger/virtual machine does the name on the bank account matter (a fresh and different bank account of coarse)

Just remember there's a very high chance they'll ask for a bank statement.....so I guess they can.

correct - can only see true name on bank withdrawal/upload of funds ...or if you provide the bank statement with your true name vs stealth...

If you put a different name under "bank holders name" than the name on your bank statement, the bank can notify Amazon there's a name mismatch. Amazon will then ask for additional verification

Most banks don't have an issue with mismatching names, but some do just an fyi

Also true - can depend even more so on if a high amount of $ are coming in

It seems that Amazon has changed policy some and now does seem to care about mismatching names on bank account. Before this past week they didn't seem to have a problem with it, but now tons of accounts are getting hit with bank verification requests. So for future might wanna make sure there is no mismatch.

In the physical world,if I walk into a bank and want to deposit a check which is not in my name,thats not possible,so why should they allow mismatched names in cyberspace ?
EVen if it is endorsed,more banks are saying they wont accept it.

correct, there is a scheme in the UK at the moment where name checks are done between financial institutions but it's only voluntary at the moment. That's why mismatched names will work with some banks and not with others.

It is only a matter of time before it's made mandatory and using the example you give you can kind of understand why.
