As of a few days ago, a few Amazon accounts started asking for bank information at the charge card page of registration. It will probably be the norm shortly.
Wonder where this is going | The Following User Says Thank You to elmo For This Useful Post: | |

Wonder where this is going | interesting - where do you think this is going?
Are the bank info being required to set up an account do you mean or just given the option to do so..?

This banking information - is it verified instantly the same way paypal does it? Never dealt with Amazon so Im curious if the same VBAs that work for paypal will work for this purpose as well.

Hey guys, got a question.
With a VBA, how do you actually get your funds out?

It is going to make opening Amazon accounts pretty tricky for people who don't want to risk adding their own bank accounts right at the start given how hard it is to get the very few EU/UK VBAs that exist
VCC are pretty hard to find as it is and now this. Its going to be interesting to see what happens long term

Just want to point out, Amazon don't verify bank's the same way PayPal verifies bank accounts, i.e. they don't send you deposits to confirm.
So a VBA would be ideal without worrying about too much, just to get past registration.
