Amazon rolling in stricter account verification measures
 

I've read that Amazon appears to be rolling in stricter account verification measures, which will apply to new accounts.

Does anyone here have knowledge or personal experience regarding this change? has it already taken effect? any more details would be helpful.

Good point- Here you go, its at the bottom of the post. The account verification measures mentioned are passport / birth certificate.

Yes it's getting harder and harder to make stealth accounts

I imagine Amazon stealth accounts won't be able to be made in the near short future based on the increasing security measures

That's just my opinion though

What makes you say that? how long is the near short future? 6months?

Tough to say, it seems every month they are rolling out with new ways of detecting similarities between accounts being created.

US Amazon Pro accounts now require the first month of seller fees on registration and almost all prepaid cards are blacklisted.

UK Amazon Pro accounts will probably follow with first month of seller fees due at registration soon.

Its all speculation at this point

I haven't seen any major differences yet. Always good to mix up your ways of operating multiple stealth - for one account use Firefox, another chrome, gmail on one, Hotmail on another etc etc.

Even if they asked for id at point of registration, its no big deal
