Last Name - Credit Card
 

Can accounts be linked via last names matching on credit cards, if nothing else matches?

I'd like to create a new Amazon store, and I want to use my name on the credit card, and provide it to amazon.

We have an old Amazon account that was banned 5 years ago, which was on my father's name, so our last names would match and we have a fairly unique last name. Every other piece of information, however, will not match. Am I safe?

They don't need the name on the card. You can add any name you want to the Amazon account when creating. If you want to be safe its best to avoid using your own surname if its that uncommon

Noone can see the name of the credit card holder. They do not have access to that info.

But what if you are using the C card to pay the monthly fees ? The name would have to match right?

Even with a highly unusualname there are tons of people who have it. Make sure the credit card billing address is different and of course the credit card number.
