Adding Second name to LLC
 

Hi,

I've been selling on Amazon for 9 months in my best friend name. Done almost 100K so far and have great metrics. The account is in his name, his bank bank account, bank card and the LLC name as well. I basically bought the Amazon Ghost book and followed the instructions.

I can't use my name since I got suspended two years ago so I would now like to add my wife name to the LLC so that the taxes this January can be done in my wife's name and not my best friend. How do I go about doing this? Will Amazon find out if I add my wife name to the LLC? What would you recommend.

I didn't use my wife name to create a Amazon account because even though we move state and change address, when I tried it didn't go through.
Also, will I be able to add my wife bank details once she's added to the LLC?

you can add whatever bank account you want whenever you want to. It sounds more like you need to transfer ownership of the company to yourself and leave your friends out of it.

Can you please elaborate on that? If I add my wife to the business or transfer ownership of the business to her and add her bank account to Amazon, won't they find out?

you really need to talk to your accountant.

Amazon does not care who owns a company. That is the point of having a company. You really need a better understanding of this and stop using your friends and family including your wife.

what do you need elaborated?

You dont understand the company is its own entity. It really has nothing to do do with you, your wife, your best friend.

You make them in YOUR OWN details and leave friends and family out of it. You just are causing them tax and liability problems doing that.

My concern posting in the first place is this. Would I still continue using my friend bank details on Amazon or my own?

I personally want control over my money. That means my own companies, my own company checking and savings accounts etc.

It is a huge risk to both you and your loved ones to operate the way you are. They are getting a massive tax liability and you have zero control legally to the funds.

I would like to correct one thing in your approach. If you are using a new LLC, you can use your name again.
