Did amazon bank rules change? new message

i made a new account and after the second step it said ..... i do't remember it always saying this

Your bank account information can be added later, and is not required for registration. Note that we can only disburse your earnings into a bank account in a country and currency supported by Amazon. After you add or update your bank account information, for security purposes we may delay disbursement of funds for up to 14 days

That was the same message I got when I opened my last account.

Some people have posted that the bank account was required immediately upon signup, but I have not experienced this.

the earlier you put your bank account the sooner you get paid... so why not do it immediately?

You wouldn't want to add bank account right away if your selling high risk or questionable stock. That way you can let it ride for a while to see if amazon would suspend you due to negative/a-z claim. I have done this several times. That way if you do get suspended, you would not just waste a bank account. All that is needed then is a previously suspended bank account added to account to receive money after 90 day hold.

But I will waste credit card, and all my cards come with a bank account together. Don't really see a point for waiting, just gets amazon suspicious imho.

Kind of a side topic but I was not able to find anything else besides bank account for withdrawal on Amazon. Is there anything else? Or just have to buy stuff on Amazon?

Suspicious? How? I usually go several weeks before adding bank accounts with no problems to some high risk accounts. I do get emails from Amazon to add a bank account, but I just ignore them until I'm ready. But I can only speak from my own experience though.

Have you actually received money after a 90 day hold that was paid to the bank account attached to a suspended account that was added to a new account? I'm just asking, because at that point Amazon would know the accounts were linked and that the information on the new account was ⊗⊗⊗⊗.

I hate blowing through bank accounts, but I don't know if I have the guts to try this.
