Can Amazon Track You if You Are Using The Same Internet Provider?
 

After long research on the forum and eBay Stealth, I have finally ALMOST in the position to set up Amazon accounts
I read how scary it can be with Amazon so really want to be extra cautious
what I have now is everything for ebay stealth like new ip add name bank etc

I am also convinced that they track Mac address too (can I understand it as your computer ID when you go internet? ) so will try to spoof that .

If Mac changes will Nic change with it ?

do I need to change internet provider (currently O2) as well ?

ISP - no. If they banned everybody who used the same ISP they soon wouldn't have any customers left. IP RANGE however is a touchy subject - they can go to extra lengths to track you and the same or similar IP range with a similar MO would certainly attract unwanted attention.

You MUST be using a different IP address, but the provider can be the same. And YES, you also have to spoof the MAC addresses. But Amazon goes beyond that. They can see your machine name, and also use browser fingerprinting.

Best course of action is to use a new (used is fine) PC to log on to Amazon. Some say that you can have multiple Amazon accounts on one PC, but many people have problems with that. Try it if the income is not critical. If, however, you make your living this way, would you want to risk it? I don't.

Just wondering, does the new(or old) computer have to be one that you have never logged into Amazon with?.

For someone like me who travels around alot, and uses a number of different computers, which one would they record the MAC for?, or would they record MACS of all the comps I logged in with?

I would think they have a file for that account, and they list and compare every variable, then they have a program that checks for similarities, and if one gets flagged, they do a very hard review, then determine suspend/block.

If your using public computers, I think they really have no way of isolating your account similarities, I mean they can, but alot of other Amazon users are going to log on to those computers also not letting Amazon really get you by IP/mac, so they would probably link you by similar account information.
