Just finished reading Amazon Ghost for the second time.

Loaded VMWare and am working on setting up my first virtual machine.

What is the most cost efficient way for me to load an OS to the virtual machine?

XP or 7 preferably.

I went out and bought a copy of Windows 7 when I started the VMWare game.
I also downloaded Ubuntu Linux and run it every once in a while.

HWGA - do you prefer vm ware workstation 7 or vmware player?

Piratebay would be the most cost efficeint, I just got through loading 10 o/s's on my harddrive, got em all free.

yeah that wht i do... but i use win xp pro usually.

it was going allright o vm ware workstation but for some reason on vmware player not so good.

That's what I still use xp pro, haven't used vmware yet, I shrunk my C drive down to 2000 MG made 10 partitions, still have room for about 9 more and this is on a $70 p3 laptop.

niceee. vm ware gives you virtual nics.

I don't use ethernet or cable just my blackberry I don't think usb modems are as tracable, I've got my copy of smac if I need it.

i dont think u read it very good. Ubuntu linux would make you unique as not everyone uses it. The best way to blend in is windows xp or vista.

we dont want fingerprints.

Like I said I run it every once in a while.
I am very much aware how the Amazon game is played......

sorry. i a bit confuse. vmware player is free or paid? i dont know which 1 i should download. got many vmware version. vm ware fusion, vm ware station, vmware view, vmware server... i so... @.@. but i guess its a vmware player..

It's free if you want on piratebay, vmfusion is for mac, I'd probably go with vm workstation just gotta make sure you've got enough ram probably at least 2gb.

So you're using the same o/s, how do you go about changing it up? download different plug-ins, change time , screen resolution,which is what I do, or do you just keep it all the same since you've got a virtual nic?

so, using different os for different virtual machine would be good? because i only use 1 os i donwload form piratebay and use it to many virtual machine.

So if your using the same o/s without changing anything else for ea virtual machine, what is it that makes your browser fingerprint different from the rest? that would be almost like using diff windows users, you think maybe, maybe not, anybody?

Ok, so the question is, can you use the same o/s, same browser, screen resolution, plug-ins etc. on diff virtual machines without getting linked?

Personally.....
I run Windows 7 installed from the same DVD with the same license code.
... I delete a few fonts.

I run FireFox 90% of the time.
...New install

I run the same Screen Resolution 90% of the time.

New Virtual Machine every time
...VMWare Workstation 7.1 Registered

NEW MAC numbers every time by using SMAC.
New email (gmail) and new name address, phone, credit card.


I have not been linked to a old account in about 3-4 months.

Finally a real answer, just what I wanted to hear, now I can get down to business without wasting any time...

Yeah vmware is indeed a powerful stealth tool, longest one of my amazon stealth accounts has been able to last was about 5 months. Got to happy and allowed sales to grow to quickly and it got shut down. Was a bummer too was near reaching featured merchant status again.

all depends on what you are selling... if its ⊗⊗⊗⊗ stuff then you will not last anywhere near that as many who have been around awhile will tell you. If you want to stay on any 1 acct. for a while with amazon you have to take it slow and do less then your velocity and get feedback.

I do use the same os disk and serial.

and just switch up my browsers. there more then 2 out there u know.

Don't sell ⊗⊗⊗⊗, and luckily on my original account I was able to experience the awesomeness of being a featured merchant. Was a regular seller for 6 months and a featured merchant for about 3 months before I got shut down, was an awesome experience though. My sales were up 10x as much as normal.

why did you get shut down if not ⊗⊗⊗⊗ stuff. Neg. feedback ?

Had about 700 feedback at 95% but my order defect rate was at 4% and they gave me a warning to get it down but wasn't able to in time.

Its a forum filter, when you say a word it filters to that.

Then Chrome
Then Netscape 9.006
Then Opera 9.51
Then Avant Force
And on and on and on..........

I also throw in Lynix Ubuntu 10.04 every once in a while just to keep things interesting...

Just as HWGA said: multiple browsers. This help with browser finger printing as the browser is completely different. and can also play around with different plug in and add ons

On these forums you are gonna learn over time that there are certain words that trigger the filter.

just to name a few...you just wanna avoid mentioning them and refer to the stuff by different terms.

Vero does not trigger the filter. Phake and cuss words do :boink:

Just don't forget to use ipredator.se or something similar when downloading, I'm sure you already knew that...
