amazon suspended for no reason but it seems to work?
 

I started a new amazon account on a different computer, with my friend's name and info, with literally nothing to connect the two of us. I had a hard time setting up the account-- for some reason it said my bank account info could not be used, and I kept getting bounced back to that screen where you put in your bank info. When I log into my seller account, that yellow sign is there, telling me I've been suspended and to check my email for why. I emailed them about my card info, asking why it wouldn't work, and I never heard back.

BUT-- I never got an email. And it seems like I can successfully list stuff. I get the email that says 'so and so has been succesfully listed'. But I don't see it up there, when I go to look for it on Amazon.

Explain??

Did you use your friend's ISP?

And it requested your bank account info? As you setup the account?

I have done several accounts. On ONE account, Amazon required that I immediately add a bank account. After looking at everything, I figured out why...

I was using a brand new PC with a dialup. The account was in NC, but I dialed into an NE number. So, Amazon must have seen the geolocation difference and thought it was odd.

That account is still going strong. The one and only time I had to immediately add a bank account.

If you have been suspended pending addition of bank account, you can still list ad nauseum but your listings will all be inactive.

Have you used this bank account before? What bank provider? I have been asked randomly to add bank account.

@jeffweico, I have a sneaky suspicion it depends on the state - I have been making lists of my connections and there is a trend. NE number would definitely do it - think I have dont that ha.
