Default House Cleaning

Did Amazon do some major house cleaning, or am I just imagining things. I checked on some items in a category I was eyeing before and I noticed that the amount of sellers has significantly dropped. For obvious reasons, I won't name the category but I was wondering if anyone else has noticed major drops in sellers elsewhere on amazon?

Yes Amazon has been very tight on new sellers lately.
The Turn & Burn folks are losing the game lately....

I am beginning to think that it'll never be the way it used to be.

My turn & burn accounts seem to be lasting around the same amount of time about 1-2 weeks. But it really depends on your category and whether its high risk or not.

Well I'm still raking it in on ebay, I make way more money with 1 day auctions on ebay then I ever have on amazon, amazon seems to be a waste of time at the moment...

im doing just fine on amazon selling 100's within a couple days.

i even got a notice after selling 100 items says: we are going to hold hold funds for 14 days from the order date to ensure proper delivery of items sold.

so not even a review just 14 day hold, and the acct and selling is still going!

i'm hopping payments in excess of _____ will just drop into my payments acct. just in case amazon is trolling!

How long has it been like that at ebay? I haven't used it in a long time now but last I remember they were total control freaks...

Amazon is definitely cracking down, but it happens every year around the holidays. Whether or not this is permanent, I don't know.

I am only guessing here, but it MAY have something to do with a crackdown on the use of VCC's or gift cards.

In the category where I sell, I've been seeing lots of new sellers, which I think is why my sales are down this season.
