- Amazon X

| eternity4u | 12-18-2010 07:56 PM | Amazon looks harder than ebay I bought Amazon Ghost, i have never really sell much amazon before, i did sell 4 items in April but late shipment got me suspended, i have never really understood Amazon policy, seems harder to me than ebay
I have so many real addresses and relatives addresses i can borrow, so like ebay i do not want to go stealth and muck everything up.
I know how to change ip, flash cookie etc
I want to know,if i purchase a new laptop, do i need to worry about mac address.
I use a mobile broadband for my selling activity, i never use my home network
So what do i really need to if i get a new latop, would i be all set just to creat a account or do i still need to change mac address? |
| ovidiu | 12-18-2010 09:30 PM | If you're using the same mobile broadband service, it will be the same mac. I don't know if you can change the MAC on a smartphone or mobile broadband card. |
| eternity4u | 12-19-2010 06:44 AM | So if i use a mobile dongle, could i change the mac? i have got 5 dongles and i am sure i have never used 3 dongles with Amazon before. Apart from the mac, should i need t worry about new things on a new laptop notebook?
Thanks |
| ovidiu | 12-19-2010 03:46 PM | I don't think you can change macs on a broadband dongle. |
Use vmware and install a new os for each account. |

I like to have seperate user accounts then change my MAC/IP upon login. |
I think that Amazon is probably easier than Ebay, you only have one company to worry about with Amazon, with Ebay you also have Paypal. Saying that I don't have much experience with ghost accounts yet
Changing MAC is very easy, one click and you're done.
Wondering about MAC on dongles now though! can someone confirm they can't be changed? |
| eternity4u | 12-19-2010 05:06 PM | Okay, what if i purchase a new dongle would that sort the problem? Or is the MAC something do do with my laptop
Sorry guy's this MAC thing is new to me, ebay stealth is alittle easy. |
| eternity4u | 12-19-2010 05:19 PM | I did purchase the Amazon Ghost, but somehow can't seem to understand the mac thing, the rest i know how to do it, this is first time i finding hard to understand, if the subject is too private then please pm.
But some help would be great |
| newtools | 12-22-2010 01:32 AM | vmware and a fresh install of an Os like windows xp pro is the best option along with SMAC
thats what i do. |
| E-Nertia | 12-22-2010 11:30 PM | I agree with newtools on this, once you get this system down, it is very easy to maintain. Also when I install the new system I leave everything alone, I customize nothing on the browser or the OS. I just like the idea that if everything is basic it gives Amazon less to distinguish you with. |
| williamlee | 02-09-2011 12:40 PM | Hi, do we really need to install fresh copy of OS on every VMware?
Can't we just copy paste one fresh and clean OS and duplicate, then just change the MAC for each? |
| adam34996 | 02-09-2011 11:03 PM | No...
This would be like creating separate user accounts. Your fingerprints would not be different and using VMWARE would be worthless.
It only takes about 30min for the installation.
I did it 3 times, and operate on 3 accounts.
Its well worth it. |

. | What kind of fingerprints are those on a clean OS?
What I do: I have a clean install of Win XP on a virtual machine and just clone it every time I need a new account. Cloning also gives a fresh MAC address to the new VM, so you have to worry only about changing the IP when you use the account. |
| MtnDew | 02-10-2011 11:41 PM | you could do this but its best just to start a new machine...tried and tested. just off hand If you copy it the name of the system will be the same. :) unless your savy or better than most. :) which im not and not sure it would work. Just keep a copy of xp, 7, or whatever on your desktop and your good. go do something for 30 min and boom new system |
| eternity4u | 05-05-2012 04:37 PM | Old thread i know
Try to reread the Amaozn Ghost and giving one more go
VMPLayer with OS would give you a new Mac.
Apart from this, say i use a new mobile dongle which would have a new mac, so i think.
Is thier anything else i need to do?
Also say other use accounts, i use VMPlayer do i need install a different OS or i still can use the same one for all new VM? |
| EbanYtsa | 05-05-2012 07:22 PM | its overkill man, never had a problems since vmware + clean clone of clean xp, dont need new installation as well as new laptop or netbook or any other freaky paranoid methods |
| eternity4u | 05-06-2012 05:38 AM | Yeh, but can you use the same OS with each VM? |
| alnev | 05-06-2012 09:13 AM | Of course you can.
How many people around the world use the same OS as you are? Quote:

But reading these forums, gave me the impression that you needed a new OS. |
| alnev | 05-07-2012 08:33 AM | You can use the same OS over and over, but if you want to take an extra step of precaution, you can make your OS a little bit unique by using a different browser, installing some random plug-ins, deleting a few fonts and stuff like that. Quote:
