Applying to a restricted catagory.......

Anyone successfully apply, and get accepted into a restricted catagory. I want to sell software. Can someone tell me how to go about this. I may have a good pipline for some legit items, but I dont want to list them on ebay. Figure Amazon has a better reputation, and can get a better price.

Thanks Guys and Gals

As long as you have proof of a legitimate supplier they should and will accept you.

You will get suspend soon if you sell software. Stay away this dangerious items and move some other stuff to make money.

I sold software for years. It's mostly about feedback. There is the "soft approval", where if you have good feedback you will be allowed to sell most of the stuff on Amazon. This approval is often automatic after you've been on there a while. The next level of approval is for items that are restricted on a case by case basis. Approval here is unlikely unless you are a bigger company.

about how long, and how many feedbacks in your estimation?

I think you can get soft approval for most items shortly after 10-20 feedbacks.

Will they require supplier information, or any other information about my business? Or do they just green light you, and keep an eye on the account?

They just green-lighted me and kept an eye on me. Was several years ago, may be different now. For approval to the strictly restricted items, I believe it's on a case by case basis and approval is rarely granted to a small seller.
