- Amazon X
( https://www.aspkin.com/forums/amazon-x/)
Amazon Ghost advises to change your name, why? I've read the book but still i don't quite understand. There are many let's say Adam Smiths in the world. One has been blocked on Amazon => no chance for others? If i apply for new credit card with different address but with my real name on it, will it link to my previously blocked account as well? Also i surfed the forums but couldn't find the answer. Thank you very much in advance for all your help guys! |
Name alone won't block - Am az on tracks IP, computer id such as nic and mac, address, etc. - they know that there are many Adam Smiths just like there are many Scott Baios...
(But there is only Sancho /cue music /end movie quote) |
Thnx a lot for prompt and helpful reply! Could u pls confirm - there is nothing to be afraid of if i'll buy new pc for new account, will change usb dongle, will not use any external devices which i used to plug in before (will get new printer as well), will put different bank account in their system (which is under my real name) and will apply for prepaid card under different address but again my full name will stay the same as on my old blocked account. Could u pls let me know if there are any disadvantages in such plan. Thank u so much! |

I was at over $6000 from Dec 1- Jan 15 when everything ground to a halt with an acct review put on me...now just sitting tight |
Less than 700 is small - and a safe method to approach Am az on. IF you are are using the same name, flip it. All else should be different including IP. |
| DogFacedBoy | 01-19-2011 10:32 AM | How long to stay below $700?
Maybe $700 first month, $1500 the next, $2000 for the third?
I was averaging pulling out a sales total of $3000-$4000/month and I want to make that up quick as possible.
It took me a while to get there in terms of making enough to buy larger inventories and I don't want to have to start from scratch again as far as having the money to spend on inventory.
One other question that I just thought of.
I have 4 ebay accounts set up at the same address and the same paypal. I don't care if they all go down together, I just have all of them so I can rotate the same items through them...only selling 2 or 3 items on each account per month for a total of 12.
Could the same thing be done on Amazon?
Set up 3 or 4 accounts on the same computer, street address, bank account...maybe use different phones and CC's. If this would work, you could theoretically do $700 on each, times 3 or 4 could approach $3000 a month until you get the limit lifted. Is there anything in there TOS that prohibits multiple accounts at one address?
Has anyone ever tried this? |

All else should be different including IP. | I thought it would be better to use my real name (with all other brand new details incl ip, mac, post address etc) just to be able to upload a copy of my real ID if asked so by am az on for extra verification. Or it will not help if they see different post address on it (which is obviously in their black list already)? I know it is unlikely to be asked to upload your ID but anyway i think it is worth taking it into consideration. Would you advise to keep my real name if i can do it or not to worry about at all? Thanx |
| DogFacedBoy | 01-19-2011 05:57 PM | I don't know if that would be wise.
Won't you ID still have the old address? |

Won't you ID still have the old address? | The thing is that they will see my old black-listed address on my ID... In this case there might be no point to keep my real name for new am az on account, right? I will not be able to prove my ghost address anyway..
One more question please - would you advise to use the company's business address where i work in? Maybe if i am asked to upload a copy of my ID and to prove my address I will be able to receive some bank statements or utility bills on this business address.. Or again - they just will see that the address on my ID is different and is black listed and thats it?.. I am just trying to understand if there is any point in using some original personal details if they do not link to my suspended accounts.
Thank you! |
| DogFacedBoy | 01-20-2011 09:54 AM | IMO the more details that you use that are the same as the original, the more likely you are to get banned. I plan on setting up my first Amazon (I'm done about a dozen ebay accounts that are all still up) stealth account this weekend and I am going to use all new details, but a real physical address that I have access to in case I ever have to accept any returns |

From my 2 years experience nobody tried to return without specifying the correct address. Otherwise u can always refund their orders promptly or send a quick replacement anyway. So i would say there is no real need in having access to stealth premises. And many thanx for yr replies! |
| nobody999 | 01-21-2011 12:18 AM | amazon only allows 1 seller account per name/address. Quote:

| DogFacedBoy | 01-21-2011 12:34 AM | Good to know. Anyone ever try the same name but just a little off on the address?
Ex: 1594 Elm street instead of 1592 elm street (there is no 1592 elm in this instance) |

Ex: 1594 Elm street instead of 1592 elm street (there is no 1592 elm in this instance) | ^^^ All of mine are and were similar. I get banned from time to time but I just looked and they were variations of three addresses I've used in the past. So I get banned for a # of things.
I play it slow with multiples with hardly a problem. But when I start selling allot on an account that's got neg's, AZ's cause I know the end is near, doesn't matter how old or if they let me lift my limits I get a "linked message". |
| Melissa1971 | 01-23-2011 05:24 AM | That sounds right to use a different name unless the items you sell are expensive then you maybe would want to file in Small Claims Court.
Then you must use your real name
