Default Does Amazon ask for your Social Security Number?

I had my Amazon account under my own name suspended forever. I have purchased Amazon Stealth and I have a few ⊗⊗⊗⊗ Amazon accounts all running successfully so I know all about that.

However I am planning to sell legit products on Amazon.com and was thinking of opening another account under my own name (of course with different IP's & MAC address). Now since that is not allowed because I was already banned I was thinking of legally changing my name to something else, using a different address, and opening a corporation to operate under. The only thing that I just can't seem to remember is if when I originally signed up with Amazon.com did they ask me for my Social Security #? I know that the corporation's EIN can be linked to a SS# so if Amazon does have mine then this is not a valid way to go.

I would also like to say I have been quite the lurker on this forum and have learned a lot. Thanks to all of you out of there for the info and especially thanks to Aspkin for providing such an excellent forum.

So my question: does Amazon ask for the Social Security # when you are signing up for a new seller account? If it does, and they have your social is there still anyway that you can sell under your own name and your own corporation without them ever tracing you..? I am willing to legally change my name.
The complete step-by-step guide to get back to selling today!

If you have a pretty common name, and all of your other details, and tech variables are different, I would think that you probably could use your real name again. I wouldn't, but I think there would have to be other things that match before you were denied an account.

If you go over 200 transactions, and 20k in sales you will have to provide EIN/SSN.

@tvillabolos - I don't follow one thing though - you have sold on Am az on before and you are asking if they want the SSN? Seems odd.

Other info that posters are typing is correct. Not sure about cherrgell's comments on 200 transactions/20k in sales since...well...none of my accounts have made it that far ha.

All the best.

Amazon does not ask for your SSN during the account sign of process.

They will ask for it at some point of you reach or get close to the 200/20K limit.

Does it mean that all our stealth accounts can last until 200/20k limit only?.. Honestly 20k is not too much

Is it both or either or?
In a lifetime or a year?
200 transactions at $10/item profit is nothing
even $20k doesn't seem like that much.

Changing your name is a pretty extreme thing to do. When the judge asks you why you are changing your name what would you say? Your honor I am trying to get back on Amazon!

I have over 200 transactions on a Amazon since Jan 1 and they have not asked for a SSN #. But the total is only around 7k sold.

It is BOTH.
It is USA only.
It is because of the IRS in the USA.

It is 200 transactions AND 20K.

They will ask for your SSN when you get close to that NOT when you sign up.
