Appealing an Amazon Review?

Hey guys,

Amazon is still reviewing my account, and it's been 8 days since they begun the review. Everything is going great-I have 20% of my orders giving me 5 stars, variety of products sold, etc.

One small issue- A scammer submitted an A-to-Z Claim. The story behind that is that the guy essentially wanted a free product. He filed a report claiming they were ⊗⊗⊗⊗, but after I requested that he send me the product before I issue a refund, he seemed to agree. A few minutes later, he sent me another e-mail stating that he was going to keep the product and resell. He filed a claim to get a free product after claiming it was ⊗⊗⊗⊗ and defective, when it really wasn't.

I have the emails to prove what he did. Should I appeal the review to Amazon? I have emailed A-to-Z claim department of Amazon with no response as of yet.

It's a shame that a normally easy to pass review got tainted by a scammer.

Any help would be great!

I would phone Amazon and let them know you are calling to ensure they are aware of this admission of illegal activity and his demands that you enable his theft. Tell them you cannot in good conscious, enable illegal activity. This would bother any honest seller, it needs to be addressed. Also say you are considering filing a police report (but don't put emphasis on that). Be the Amazon Reps friend, he is just trying to feed his family.

If worded right, it may be an opportunity to show them your integrity and honesty. Maybe it will expedite the review, that is what I would expect to happen. Others here may have more experience with this and tell you something different

I would not mention my account at all in the phone call as I wouldn't expect it to suffer due to blatant illegal activity. Amazon needs to ban this guy.

The thing is that if swim83 gives a call to ama zon he will have a chance to speak to a customer adviser only. This is the problem. They are not decision makers at all and they will definitely tell you "bla bla all you've said will be taken into consideration" and that's it. In my view there is no point in this. Honestly I don't have any advise, this is quite hard issue... Maybe anybody else could help. All the best
