Give Your Opinion on Velocity Limits After Accounts hit 90 Days

From your experience, what do you think is a safe increase month to month on your Amazon accounts velocity limit in the 28 day cycle?

I keep it under 750 the first 90 days.
Month 4 increase to 850
Month 5 increase to 950
From here I usually try and keep it under 1,000

What about everyone else?

I say it all depends on your previous sales.

I made a new account a month ago..

sales so far

$850 or so - no limit as of yet. I am expecting one today after I request disbursement ( $700). Which would be my second on this account since I created it.

What do you mean by previous sales? Do you mean that your velocity limit is based on what you made a month prior which determines what you can make current?

On an account for example I did $770 then $350 and back up to $800 and the account was fine.

That's what I did but after month 5 I increased it to a couple thousand dollars then more without any problems
I believe the next Velocity limit is at 3 thousand dollars which I am really close to

Has anyone else had success like this? ...
Good to know. I'll try that with one of my accounts and see how it works.

I just remembered something......

A few people here had said as you gain feedback it represents a certain dollar amount for you to be able to sell. So you want to get alot of feedback

I had a Claim at month 4 or 5, a Claim I refused to refund which is pretty bad. But he was really out of control. I also maintain about 24-25% positive feedback and i had no refunds at the time (refunds on record that is). I still have 100% feedback and no refunds though Amazon did remove a red and one neutral due to it being a product review.

It would be interesting to hear others experiences as well....

Dont get mad if this is a noob question, but what the hell is a velocity limit?

Term relative to Am az on sales - if you sell too fast in the first month, you are liable to review with funds being held.

usually time is what helps, sell after a couple of weeks and just leave the $ in there. and sell a few hundred and wait to let it cool. within 60 to 90 days you will able to do 1k - 2 k a month if you have positive feedback's which support your sales. aim at 15% of total sales. if you are under this and get a negative feedback or a return it affect your limits and could push you into a review.
