Reason you were banned from Amazon?

Just curious to hear what everyone's reason was for being banned at Amazon the first time. I wanted to make this a poll but I really didn't know how many possible choices there would be.

Haven't ever been banned yet myself and I'm still selling on one of my original legit accounts, although lately I've started scaling up more. Even though I'm not doing anything wrong or against their rules, if they're anything like ebay/paypal I'm still worried about possibly getting suspended for stupid non-reasons that they just make up out of thin air too. (like making too much $ too fast) :noidea:

Making too much money too soon is a major factor that will get you shut down. Another reason you will get shut down is if you get a couple of bad feedback from customers. Amazon takes customer service seriously.

Mostly counterfeit sellers in denial, then. Figured as much. Looks like I don't have a lot to worry about after all.

What had happened with the previous banned account?

Melissa1971 06-30-2011 02:10 AM

Because I live in California

According to news reports, I won't be able to login tomorrow

boszika 06-30-2011 01:12 PM

Ghost, I was buying stuff from it freely as nothing happened.:doh::doh:

I still do.

Ghost 07-01-2011 11:46 AM

Oh I see.. you logged in with the IP of someone else's previously banned account. Yeah, I've heard of that happening to people. Amazon won't even review those snap judgements they make either, so you really do have to be careful about where you log in. Places like shared college networks, for example, are big no-nos! ;)

Would the library would be ok? Who knows who used the computer before me and as I live in a big city it is more likely somebody thought of the same thing as me.

Ghost 07-03-2011 06:19 PM

I wouldn't personally advise it...

After Black Friday for the online gaming community, I managed to tie up 90% of my disposable funds with the Department of Justice and Full Tilt.

A friend of mine had just gotten into selling Vero on Amazon, and I followed suit.

Today, my account was banned, and I'm wondering where to go from here.

rsot 07-05-2011 11:00 AM

Welcome to the forums. This has happened to a lot of us.

You will have to go fresh and new - the Am az on ghost guide is a solid read for that.

i keep hearing vero. what is that exactly? Name brand items? The e b ay description is vague.

boszika 07-05-2011 02:11 PM

Vero can be a lot of things. Here is the explanation I wrote to my supplier ,just to make sure he learns something new and becomes different from the million others out there:
Vero is mostly anything that Chinese can reproduce cheaply which is unfortunately everything:juggle:.
These companies (Coach,Microsoft,Nike etc) has a lot of people working for them ,looking through websites like Ebay and Amazon etc. to see who sells those stuff. As most times you need a reseller permit to sell those items and the company would know whom they ever gave one,it is very easy for them to know which ones are not real.
In another words everything that street vendors sell (hats, bags, wallets, sunglasses etc)
are Vero.
Of course there are lot more to it,then this simple explanation but in a nutshell...

No it didn't affect me but I had my Store on Vacation at the time to make it appear I was in the process of moving.
Then of course I happened to change my mind :D

My guess is..the reason for the conflicting reports is the bill originally included Amazon Sellers, he vetoed it the first go around. He stated he liked this portion but not that portion of the bill
So then they sent it to his desk with only the portion he liked, and he then signed it. I was kinda hoping Amazon Sellers were banned then I could get into selling Books very seriously as our Goodwill stores would go back to having good books for sale. The Goodwill stores here all have amazon accts

Christopher 07-12-2011 09:43 PM

selling recopied media if you sell amazona accts let me know
