Default If amazon can only see the first object in my ISP Chain....

Since Amazon can only see the first device I am using the connect to the internet with, cant I just use VMware clients which each have their own "unique" network adapters to create multiple accounts? This way, instead of using the 3G sticks which, while fast enough, are slower than my normal ISP, I could buy a couple of VPS' instead.

Ah ok, so basically the virtual network adapter is what Amazon sees?

I would think they see the MAC on your real NIC card as well. Your virtual network adapter connects to your real network adapter.

yes but they dont see BOTH, they only see the first in the chain, which would be the virtual adapter in this case

this is exactly what i need an answer to. I hate having to restart my computer to get a new mac. I use vmware and that would be a huge time saver. Ill play it safe until i get a definitive answer. The amazon stelt book by as pkin wasnt too detailed about that.

Well, I learn most of what I know about computers and IT from my dad who is a computer engineer/IT specialist :P. Basically, from what I know so far (or what I think I know), since VMware is an ENTIRELY new machine running on your system, it gets its own set of everything a computer needs. If you look at the properties of each Virtual machine you will see that you can edit the network settings on each one. If you decide that you want it to connect to the network independently and not through your host system, it generates its own virtual network adapter that you can actually see in your network preferences on the host computer.

So while you are sitting on your base computer logging on through its network adapter on your mobo, your virtual machine is also logging on through its own virtual network adapter that has its own unique MAC address.

So all you have to worry about is resetting the IP then?

I have Cable modem with Suddenlink and my PC connect direct to the modem.

I just need to change my MAC to get new IP (like 30 second)

No need to restart PC or Modem
