Want to make 1 Amazon Account for backup ( help! )
 

I just signed up to the Amazon Subscriber area :)

I have one Amazon Account (my own) that I am using right now with my desktop computer. After reading amazon ghost, I really don't want to mess around with MAC address, virtual machines, browser tracking, and all the complicated stuff, because I have a few ebay accounts that I run on my desktop already with separate user accounts.


I have access to a bunch of Laptops and I just got a Virgin Mobile dongle today and I planned to get the 20$ a month 1GB of Data (pre-paid).


If I use one laptop out of my inventory ( will reinstall OS just in case ) , put the mobile broadband dongle in it, and then start creating 1 "real" account with SSN, will I be fine?

( I have not used the dongle on the desktop, and will not use it in the future )

I just read the guide, and I'll read it again shortly.

You should be ok if everything is fresh and not linked to your old account

merc: That is more than enough for Amazon to NOT track you. You will look like you are a totally different person (New IP/MAC ID and new BILLING info)

Just remember, amazon and eBay are a lot different in how they link bad accounts. Amazon will use any possible avenue to close your account if they suspect foul play. Make sure there is absolutely no resemblance to the previous account and you will be fine.

I will reserve some items for this new account, hopefully in about 4-5 months after both reviews passed, it will be fully operational ( if everything goes well )

One more question. Do I need to disable the WiFi Adapter of the laptop or any other hardware, while being connected to the Virgin Mobile dongle?

I won't be connected to my WiFi Network obviously, just want to know if I need to uninstall or disable it, or anything else for that matter.

Anybody want to chime in on my above question, before I jump to make a backup Amazon account.

Disable just so it doesn't connect to wifi by accident. And why are you using the SSN on the second account (supposedly the stealth one?)

if you are thinking of creating two accounts with real details, don't! Amazon doesn't allow more than one sellers account.

I will disable it then just in case.

The backup account will be a "real stealth", I call it simply "real' as it will have real details including ssn.

I'm still confused.

Do both accounts have the same real info? This is a no-no. Is the first account a stealth with stealth info, and the second one with real info?

Each account must have different info to survive.
