Cable maters Threatening Emails
 

Anyone had experience with these guys? I listed an email for sale that they sell. A few days later they sent me an email requesting that I remove my listing as it violates amazons policies and that they OWN everything in the listing an im not allowed to sell that item.

same thing happend to me all i did was keep replying ok to have good reply scores, i never close down my listing.

What is cable maters?

Is it possible that they created the Amazon listings and don't want you piggybacking on them? I don't know what the rules are about that, but if they went to the trouble of doing graphics and getting UPC codews for their items, I can kinda understand where they are coming from.

HOWEVER - Amazon has not, to my knowledge, granted anyone an exclusive right to sell generic HDMI cables, etc. on their site.

But it WOULD be good to differentiate yourself - if it is possible - that way. A nice looking ad with YOUR graphics and brand name + YOUR UPC codes... People import and re-brand all the time.

MNy best suggesion is to check the rules to see if they can do this or not. If not, I would ignore them.

Emailed amazon they said I have full rights to sell that item and if the seller keeps sending me those emails to tell them to contact them as in amazon so they can handle it...

OK, so there you have it. If it were me, I wouldn't argue or respond to the other seller. I would just forward any new emails to Amazon and let them deal with it.

Send them back a nice laywer letter to scare them!
