run and gun with dropshipping

Does anyone want to help me out with how to do this method with drop shipping? Or are all the run and gun guys having the items in stock first?

teedon 10-25-2011 11:55 PM

Now dropshipping have not advantage to make profit ,because the competitive is big and shipping cost is big for single item.
And the price is high for purchasing one item by one item.

Mostly the people buy the goods in bulk and then resell the goods one by one.

Not just that but you may encounter few buyers who will hate you for the dropshipping as well.

I'll add this, you must have money available on the side in order for dropshipping to work, and to get to your customers In a reliable time frame.

Dropshipping Isn't recommended, especially If you don't know what you're doing, but It works better on "E" than "A".

In conclusion, just have the items In stock.....................

This is a bad idea and will end up blowing up in your face in the end.

Its so ironic...I agree with you 100% but its the stupid consumer not realizing it all came from china regardless. Read the made in on every item thats popular. Its actually sickening sometimes.

It all depends on the production value of the item. Let say I want this TV which is high quality top of the line will not die on me for 10 years, but then I unknowingly but a tv with a low quality built and have the same trims, stickers, and badges of the high quality tv. Man I would like to kill the sellers because I was tricked into buying that crappy tv!

But ingore my post if you are not selling crappy tvs!:thumb:

People on here are constantly dissing dropshipping, but I have been doing it successfully for about 4 years now :pop2:

Mind you my methods are somewhat "outside the box"

jbluntz 11-06-2011 03:06 PM

I've also done it successfully to in the past, but prefer to have the items on hand and be able to ship fast, just feels better even though you can still ship fast dropshiping too if you know how but just feels better to be in full control of your product.

rsot 11-07-2011 05:23 AM

Helps a lot to see what you are sending and provide the stable return address.

sax4 11-07-2011 05:41 AM

For most people it's better to have stock in hand, but for me dropshipping is much easier. The stuff I sell is new and sealed, and if they need to return something I sent them a shipping label, or get courier to pick up.

Perfect for me as I work remotely from all over Europe

GreenBean 11-07-2011 05:46 AM

It's like any selling. Work it correctly and it makes you money. Fiddle, fluff around and invite problems. All in the planning,yes,sax4? ;)

sax4 11-07-2011 06:05 AM

Well let's remember than many big companies(including Ebay and Amazon) are dropshippers themselves, and they're doing ok. There are many ways to dropship, not limited to getting Mr Ling in Beijing to send Sci-phones to your Ebay customers ;)

About 90% of my online sales are dropshipped.
