It's a ridiculous system, too.

I hate you don't get the e-mail address. My buyers have often claimed they never heard from me, and most don't even know the Amazon Messaging Center exists.

It is ALL about Control,,,Amazon simply wants Complete control of the system,,,I guess I would too if it were my site

They shouldn't have to know this. The messages are getting emailed to them. The problem is spam filters.
