Real or Just a threat?

Ok so I had some software that I want to get rid of and I put my item on sale for £55. next thing i kno im getting an email through amazon message another seller saying that my items are not real and that hes going to tell a microsoft agent and tell the trading standards. then he says because of Microsoft quality assurance and fair trade i cnt list microsoft home and student product key below £63.87 but i looked all over the internet searching for this product key and I got nothing???
so im wondering whats the deal with that, is this true and something i should worry about or is this just a empty threat because my items are real in fact i have got a few positive feedback for my products.

Don't let people scare you off, perhaps it's competition - if you got genuine stuff - stand your ground.

This is very common, unfortunately. A competitor with counterfeit goods, wants the market to thmselves and they think they have come up with a great way to scare other people away. The write an email, accusing you of selling counterfeits, tell you they are reporting you to everyone and their brother and use the names of lots of law enforcement agencies and/or attorneys to make it seem real.

I would never respond to such a message, they are not legitimate.

If a real rights owner has a problem with you, they will have an undercover buyer make a purchase. If the item is counterfeit, they will then sue you and/or file a complaint with the proper authorities. But you would not know that happened until after the fact. They don't send emails threatening people.

And if they DID send you a message for whatever reason, their phone number and contact information would be included and it could be easily verified. They woul WANT you to know who they are, and that they are serious.

Thing is though, I'm pretty sure Office Home and Student PKC has *never* been pirated. So lol @ cheap threats. I don't know what the laws are in the UK, but here in the US, you can sell at any price you like.

The funny thing about this is that I don't think the other person is selling phakes, because I don't think these have been phaked. I think it's some big guy peeved at being undercut.
