| Halada | 05-07-2012 08:24 AM | Your account has been inactive for too long So this morning I try to log-in to a stealth account which aged for 30 days. In spite of several sales in which I included a slip that asks for positive feedback, I only had one feedback (out of 9 sales total). First disbursement went alright.
So I try to log-in, it says the username/password combination I am using is invalid. I then tried to do a password reset and was prompted with a "your account has been inactive for too long".
I contacted Amazon as requested, but after googling the issue, which brought me back here, I'm pretty sure I'm SOL. I'll e-mail them in 90 days to get that 2000$ back, but **** Amazon's good.
They charged my VCC a week ago without issue (in spite of the fact the account was over a month old).
So I guess now they don't even bother to send a "Your Account is Under Review" e-mail anymore? |
| alnev | 05-07-2012 08:39 AM | You account has been deleted, because you raised a huge red flag with the $2000 sales.
Tip: build 3-4 positive feedback before you start selling and don't go over $750 in gross sales in the first 28 days. Quote:

| Halada | 05-07-2012 08:41 AM | I figured I was good with the 30 days wait. Oh well, will try a different tune next time.
Amazon buyers are a bitch to get feedbacks out of.
The velocity limit for the first 28 days is 750$, and no one knows how it increases afterwards, correct? |
| alnev | 05-07-2012 08:45 AM | The key on Amazon is to get those positive feedbacks. If you are able to have a 20%+ feedback ratio, you can get to 20k gross in half a year. Quote:

| Halada | 05-07-2012 08:52 AM | With the first account I opened (under my real name, which was attached to a buyer account opened in 1998 I think) I was never hit by any review, not even once. In December 2011 alone I did over 20K in a single month, was never hit by anything. I got dinged in the end when volume skyrocketed and ODR jumped from 0% to 0.9% in a month. Didn't pass the 30 days review.
So this is all new to me. Lost 3 accounts really quickly at first, then got much smarter, but those velocity limits really wrinkle my ass.
Apparently Amazon randomly charges up to 15$ on VCC to check AVS when the review comes up, so now I get VCC with 25$ on them for all accounts I open.
The other alternative is to get 3-4 accounts and sell close to 700$ on all for for the first month, but this would require a separate bank account for each and I am not sure how my bank will look at that.
At least I have other accounts which are OK, but I'll need to offer incentives to get those feedbacks. |

Except that you make not 3-4 accounts, you make 10. And yes, with 10 different bank accounts, you just open a bunch of accounts at different banks. Quote:

| Halada | 05-07-2012 10:14 AM | Thankfully my eBay sales are more than enough to support me for as long as I need, but the big money is really with Amazon.
I'm gonna have to get serious with this Amazon business.
I'm only concerned about geolocation of the IP addresses. Getting a different IP is easy peasy, but won't they frown on 10 accounts being in the same city and getting Ip from the same ISP (albeit different IPs)? I can easily make it across different provinces, but if they geolocate the IP, I'm screwed. |
As long as your account does not get closed out. |
| Halada | 05-08-2012 07:36 PM | I can't even log-in to the account. After two days I went on live chat and they asked for CC info, then they told me an account specialist will contact me. I'm sure nobody will.
I don't even get an automated reply with a case ID if I use the contact form.
It appears the account has been deleted, which means the money is gone forever, correct? |
Nobody will contact you - good luck getting your money bud - lord knows bunch of us have been trying...da*n thieves. |
| Halada | 05-08-2012 08:21 PM | I even had outstanding orders... all these people will have to file a-z claims to get it back. How is this protecting the Amazon image? |
The image brand is larger than blocking accounts - pretty messsed. | | All times are GMT -5. The time now is 04:56 PM. | |
