Default About Dial-up connection with Amazon

Hello Aspkin,

I just read the "Amazon Ghost", I got a question here.

You mentioned dial-up connection is a great alternative, cause it's no MAC address, and each time connect with dial-up will receive a new IP address. now my question is how can guarantee these IP will not be the same everytime? cause the IP should change within a fixed range, if it changes everytime, it is possible for you get the same IP. and it's not possible for you to write down the IP and check it everytime. How do you think? and do you have a solution?. thanks

Hi Tom,

I would try checking your ip multiple times and making sure it give you a new one each time. I use wireless carrier that is never the same. I have heard that some repeat. If you are that worried about it, get you an excel file and keep track. Just hop on IPBurger.com when you log on each time.

I use dial-up for 6 amazon accounts. It's quite simple to set up and use without worry. First off, you only use one dial-up # for each account. Not sure where you are from but in my state I have 3 area codes to choose from.
Of those 3 area codes I have hundreds of 7 digit #'s to choose from.

All you have to do is select different #'s for each and ONLY use that # for that specific account. Be sure to write check & write down what the IP address is so you don't get repeating #'s or to closely matched. You won't get an exact IP address but the first #'s such as let's say 234.87.90.07 but on your next dial-up it would be 234.87.10.98. You'll know after a few times which #'s stay the same.

I know by heart which #'s change for me so I just go to IPBurger.com and make sure it is in that range. Nothing to it. I have never been linked this way.

Using different providers is a good idea, most of the time you will record your IP, and you would have to be unlucky to use the same IP on the occasions you don't note it down.

Even if you do accidentally log in with the same IP, they could assume you're in Starbucks or something, unless you do it repeatedly.

When I first stated stealth, I used this technique of using several different providers. It works great but isn't necessary. As long as you know what the IP range is for each #, using just one provider is just as good. Also, for each amazon account, I used a different browser to avoid detection.

I know its been a little bit since this threads been active but I have a question...if you use dial up...do you need to worry about the mac(physical) address on your laptop. Or can u use the same laptop and just have different users on the laptop and use dial up connection?
