Brand New FBA account deleted.

Hi

Brand new PC, new dongle, legitimate stock. Opened the account 10 days ago, sent stock to FBA, got buy boxes on most products, amazon.co.uk was my main competion. Sold over 300 units and just logged on and the account is deleted. I have several other accounts all set up in a similar way, but not selling FBA. Is this amazon not wanting competition so they just delete you. I have been selling on amazon for several years so I am not a newbie and there is no way they can link me. Anybody had a similar experience.

Micky

Many have similar experience...I think you probably had problems because

Did you have money tied up?

MICKY H 07-27-2012 02:06 AM

about 800 cds still in FBA and approx £3.5k

Lheonard 07-27-2012 05:11 AM

Sorry to hear about this :mad2:

Will they give the stock back!!?

rsot 07-27-2012 06:50 AM

Stock may or may not be returned - depends on what the 'charge' is. You can still log into the account?

MICKY H 07-27-2012 12:03 PM

No, the account is deleted, cannot log in and no reply from the email's sent. If no success will have a drive to there offices.

The questions that come to mind are,
I) How old was the account?
II) What where you selling?
II) What price where you selling it for?
III) and how fast where you selling?

My response may change once I know the answers to those questions.
For now, I am sure if you have read Amazon Ghost you have heard about velocity limits, high risk areas, account reviews etc and since you're not a Newbie you know all about this... so my sermon will be brief ( well kinda)

Verse One: its a "brand new account" and you "sold over 300 Units" wow!! you will definitely got an account review ASAP, and if your sells don't match your feedback i.e your account is still a Zygote, the chances of passing the review are slim to non. Take it easy on the sells if your account is new, don't go over $750 in a 28 day cycle, avoid premature reviews..you should already know this.

Verse Two: if you're selling high risk items, high value, VeRO, etc a) that's also grounds for a premature review b) you may have got a complaint even without knowing it, which If you sold >300 the chances of this occurring are higher (I don't personally think this is what happened but just a guess).

And finally am not sure if it's just me but every time I use FBA, my account goes in review for a brief period. It has happened to me twice already. One account passed review the other did not.

If you don't mind answering questions and clarifying that would be great.

The only question that should be straight on answered is number one and number 4. How old is the account and how fast were you selling.
No one wants their bread and butter to be exposed.
The other 2 questions can just be VAGUE
(ex: I was selling xx at around 40 to 60 bucks a piece)

I guess what I was trying to establish it is not really the specific items that where being sold, but at least the category because that makes a different, for example we all know that DVD's and Electronics are a quick way to get a premature review and get suspended and there's also the issue of VeRO.

So perhaps he can just confirm whether or not he was selling in any high risk categories.

I think all the questions are okay with general responses... I figured he would respond that way anyways.

The account was only a few weeks, but never had this with FBA before. Selling about 75 per day. Feedback does not really matter on FBA as the feedback is Amazon's performance not mine. I have several FBA accounts selling DVD but this have never happened with any of them. The only conclusion I have is that Amazon don't want competition.

Are you authorise seller for DVD ? I had same problem!

rsot 08-08-2012 11:57 AM

Any word on return of the products by AZ? I kind of doubt that this will end well .

MICKY H 08-09-2012 05:14 AM
