I don't think Amazon can track your mac address. I have seen that said here many times, but I am using the same computer that my last amazon account was suspended from and other than clearing cookies, everything is the same.

Amazon DOES track MAC address, this has been confirmed by countless numbers of members and is known for a long time

NO THEY CANNOT TRACK MAC ADDRESS.

Go and ask any computer expert if thats possible. Only people who use the same internet/router as you can see MAC by typing in the ip address in the url bar.

It takes you to settings page showing all connected computers.

When you type ip into url bar it wants password. TRY IT YOURSELF NOW. type your ip into url bar.

Amazon dont have this password. So unless they hack or do something illegal. They CAN NOT get your mac.

They can put cookies on your pc and know your the same pc though

Buddy, I have a bachelors in Computer Science and is currently getting my masters, I'm pretty sure I know what I'm talking about.
What you're describing is accessing the router's control panel, it has nothing to do with tracking. They don't need to have access to the control panel to get the mentioned information. With various web-based scripts, you can easily obtain information such as MAC address if your browser can run it. Here is one of many examples of how Amazon can potentially get your MAC address using Javascript and ActiveX:

< Coding Resource >: Get Client MAC Address & IP Address using Javascript
