Question about amazon buyers

i was wondering, do buyers always buy from the seller that has the lowest price?
because for almost every item there are people selling it for more money> do they even get any sales?
since there are so many other sellers selling the same item for cheaper..

i do it by feedback, lowest price and shipping cost. Not exactly in that order.
