Creating new amazon account

I Created a new amazon account today and it wanted me to provide tax ID before I listed my first item and would not allow me to list before i completed the tax interview thing

Has anyone come across this?

reza, there have been reports of this happening.

Many of the users have opened Pro accounts. Not everyone has had this though.

What did you try to open.

Yes i tried to open pro account

I did provide bull number (just to get started)

What is the general rule of thum about how long amazon lets you keep selling with no tax id (i have account with $8,000 sales in 2013 they still have not even requested atax id)

Do they give you temp suspension or permanent?

My amazon azzount was suspended less than 24 hours of being opened
Im guessing there was
a) a problem with the laptop used to open ac (it was refurbished laptop i got off ebay)
b) inventory that was listed (i have never sold that inventory before)

I will try non pro accont next and try selling other inventory
