| luckystar | 04-16-2013 08:28 PM | Ghost account did not pass the review and reason is linked account I follow the amazon ghost bible and successfully created a ghost account in the beginning.
I did the following:
1. New computer
2. IP address (I use vpn from openvpn.net and use the private tunnel at San Jose). I am living in LA.
3. New name
4. New address
5. New email and phone no from google voice (setup in 1 or 2 days)
6. Get a gift card (amex reloadable and registered info)
7. no registered bank account
I passed initially and started listing. I sold for more than $1000 in the first week. My account was under reviewed. Amazon suspended my account and the reason is linked account to my old suspended account.
I think below might be the reason amazon detected:
1. my vpn log out in the middle while the ghost account is still on amazon. amazon pick up my real ip in between?
2. i use the address that might be appeared in my old account. Amazon find out that?
3. Am I selling too much and too fast to reach the first review?
I really appreciate if anyone can give me a new insight what exactly I did wrong, so I will avoid and try again.....THANK YOU. |
| barrycruan | 04-16-2013 08:48 PM | If your vpn logged out and then you carried on loading up pages then that's a possibility. The address is another one. If you were linked then its not because you sold too much, it's because you were linked. |
| kwikiimart | 04-16-2013 09:11 PM | It could be product link for listing the same inventory. |
| luckystar | 04-17-2013 01:44 AM | Not really, I am selling different items. |
| MICKY H | 04-17-2013 05:24 AM | use a 3g dongle, then no problems with ip etc |

| I think these are the reason, maybe. |
| luckystar | 04-17-2013 12:00 PM | Ok, so if i setup the account and avoid previous problem, the ghost account should be no problem, right?
Does it matter if my IP is not my location? for example, I am in LA and the IP is at NY. |

| TonyAlmeida | 04-17-2013 12:53 PM | VPN is a know problem with Amazon, doesn't matter the location of the account or VPN server. Quote:

VPN has caused issues with Az - which one did you use?
You used an old banned address in any form? Yes that can end an account as well. |

I did not use the address for registering in my old account. I am just not sure if the address has been used before somewhere in Amazon. I might accidentally input for returning or include it on message in my old account. On my old amazon account, it is showing other address. |
openvpn.net might have been used by MANY on Amazon - Amazon could see the IP as problematic.
