Good Morning!

I have couples question about Virgin Mobile services.

1. Between the USB stick/Hotspot devides and the LTE phone with one is a better choice?

2a. If go with USB stick/Hotspot devices, they are using WiMax technology right?
2b. Does the IP change every time I do power cycle the devices?

3. If go with the LTE phone (Samsung Galaxy Victory LTE 4G), can it be root and use as hotspot device?

I do not know the answer to every part of your questions, but I know that if you use a USB dongle you get a new IP every time it is powercycled. If I remember correctly, my Verizon dongle changes just the last 3 digits every time I powercycle it, so you would assume that it has a range of 999 possibilities. Someone correct me on that if I'm wrong though please. In general, I feel it's a cleaner/safer route to just use a physical USB dongle and not to use any sort of wifi methods of connecting.. but that's just me being super paranoid, I'm sure tons of people have success in doing so.

Very difficult to compare, probably be just as fast, also you have to take into consideration where you are located. Personally, I rather use a USB Modem because I can connect it to my Laptop.

I use Virgin Mobile, I yet to have a repeated IP, so yes you will get a new IP when you cycle the device.

3. is definitely doable but MM78 is the local cellphone whiz kid currently - props.

I wanted to update this because what I said is slightly incorrect and I hate giving out any false or unconfirmed information (unless I'm specifying that I'm speculating). The last 4 digits for my verizon dongle change every time I disconnect and reconnect. There is no need to powercycle the dongle. Therefore one could assume that there are a total of 9,999 combinations for (all?) Verizon dongles, not 999 as I stated prior. The outside world also sees this as a "dial-up" connection. This makes sense because dial-ups work in a similar way. I have a 2nd dongle that I'm going to do some testing on later today, I will update if any new info seems interesting. I'm sure a lot of people know this already, but hopefully this info helps some people, or at least get rid of the hearsay.

(PS does anyone have any reasoning why dial-up would/could be more secure than dongle? Specifically when it comes to the creation of multiple (dozen) of accounts on a single machine. Thanks)

Dial-up is fine for stealth.... provided one can live with its slowness.

I would suggest anyone making several stealth accounts have a mixture of internet access.

All your eggs in one basket & all that rubbish.

I appreciate there may be limits to the tin foil hat needs. LOL. I do know I like my variety of options.

I use a widespread of dial-up accounts for international IP - I have worldwide free calling so YES IT IS SLOW AS FUG :( but I deal with it...still break the slowness with some fast Canadian account usage so...dial-up works

I like its concept to get started....

The slowness is a side issue to 'get' an account in a given country.
