Using company name for name?

When asked for name on a stealth account has anybody got away with using your company name? This would work well for LLCs and all the info with Amazon would be legit, there would be no ⊗⊗⊗⊗ names.

I don't think the name has any legal significance though. When they ask you for tax info it says "legal entity", it doesn't say that when they ask for name.

Re: Using company name for name?

This depends on company name .... If its called some thing like 'easy diaper inc' this might not be a good idea, specially when it's reviewed by a human eventually.

Ive used my business name only, on all my accounts, and have never had a problem.

so where it says 'name :' you just use your company name? so no person's name at all ?

Re: Using company name for name?

Exactly. Business name only. I never enter a personal name, or any other personal info for that matter.

Who even uses person name anymore? Everything i use my business name if i can unless they require ID but i do have my business card that solves that dilemma sometimes

Some proof of identification and registration issue likely - looks professional

Business card is not legal ID.

It could be presented to show your association with the named account.

would be good if this thread can be hidden. Its a very helpful tactic and it is one that amazon could easily close.

Re: Using company name for name?

Hardly a 'hidden tactic' but it is in Amazon X (the thread is) so only paid subscribers have access.

Slightly off-topic - With your business account, does your bank give you the option of creating new bank accounts upon request or do you just start a new business each time?

thanks!

Re: Using company name for name?

I canNOT speak of UK per say for BUSINESS accounts but in Canada, you can create new bank accounts without problems since the bank has your business registration. You will just have more business account fees to deal with.

I am pretty sure it would be the same in the UK
