VMware and IP addresses

I installed VMware on a fresh OS and have 3 virtual XP environments setup.

In the amazon stealth guide, I do not see where it talks about dealing with IP addresses for each stealth account. What is the recommended way to assign a different IP address to each VM Desktop.

Also, how do you deal with the MAC address on the router that goes to the outside world? I know how to deal with the MAC address on the computer...

If I have 3 VM accounts on one system, how does each VM Desktop access the outside world using a different IP address?

I purchased a nLTE hotspot that I would like to use...

Because you are using hotspot so the MAC is not a problem here. Just set all 3 VMware image to used NAT (for network) and remember power-cycle you hotspot device and log your IP every time you switch the VMware

Hear is another question, I am not sure if it is doable.

If I am running 3 different stealth accounts and would like to run all 3 VM desktops at the same time, is there anyway to use the same hotspot or no? Wouldn't amazon detect that 3 different accounts are being accessed from the same external ip address?

If you using a hotspot then the answer is a BIG NO. There is a way to run 3 VMware at the same time with 3 different IP but with Suddenlink cable service. I don't know about other cable service cause I haven't try. But the Suddenlink I did and passed the test.

What about the MAC address of my LTE hotspot?

If I have 3 stealth accounts accessing from the same MAC address on the hotspot, wouldn't that raise a flag?

Yes I did read that post, but if the MAC address of the router is the same, wouldn't that help link me? In the amazon stealth guide, it talks about having to change the MAC address of the router...

Right now I purchased a sprint lte hotspot.

What do you recommend as the best setup using the wifi hot spot?

Won't my ip change every time I restart the wifi hotspot? Wouldn't amazon become suspicious since the ips change do to the hot spot being restarted?

If I log my ip how would I force the hotspot to use that ip for the associated account?

I know how to set each VMware image to use NAT, but won't a problem be created if everytime I log into my account, the IP address is different from the hotspot being rebooted and obtaining a new IP address? If 15 different IP addresses access the same account, wouldn't that create a problem.

Not trying to beat a dead horse but its a pain for me to not read this guide easily page by page since it wont let me print..

The answer is no. Just don't use 1 IP for more than 1 account

Do you reccomend installing anti-virus on the VMware enviornment? I would assume it needs protection, but I can not install my SEP version for some reason....

I don't use any Antivirus beside the Free Microsoft one. I really don't need it anyway cause just used these VMware for Amazon/eBay business only. Nothing else. And there is know Virus found on eBay/PayPal/Amazon website

One more question. I installed my wireless adapter to connect to my hotspot and can do so using the main OS. When I open my VMplayer OS, it does not list the wireless adapter as a device. Do I need to add it, or rebuild my VM OS since I added the card after the VM OS was created?

No, you don't need to do anything else with-in your VMware images once you have select NAT

I guess here is my problem.

In my main machine, I have a network card that is hooked up and also the wireless card.

In my VMware OS, it only allows me to view one local area connection. I would like to route all the traffic in the WMware OS through the wireless. Is this possible? Pretty much I need to have two connections in the VMware OS and disable one of them...

Once you select NAT in your VMware, it will use whatever connection you have on the main PC.

If you want to use wireless connection, just unplug the network cable or disable the NIC on your main PC
If you want to use your NIC then disable the Wireless adapter

There is maybe a way to doing this but it is beyond my knowledge

The only reason I wanted to keep the wired connection is to help save on data when I remote in.... Wanted to force all traffic for amazon through the wireless, but looks like your suggestion is the best way....
