| 900ex | 10-09-2013 04:36 PM | How did amazon link my accounts? How did amazon link my buying accounts? I had new address/names for each account.
I used vmware, changed mac address, and ip address, used cc cleaner, cleaned fingerprints in adobe.
each one of my mac address and ip address is different for each amazon account (but kept consistent/used same set for each account). |

Usually, Amazon does not bother with buyer account linking. Were you re-selling their items using Amazon Prime for free shipping? |

Yes they were buying same items, but its a very popular item, like in the top 10, how would they find out?
Only reason I am thinking is? Because I am using a windows 8 laptop, the operating system doesn't allow me to change my mac address, but when I use vmware with windows xp, it allows me to change it. (Is that the issue? It shouldn't be right? because in amazon ghost guide it suggests to use vmware then change mac address).
Also thank you for the fast response!!!
Edit: only two accounts are shut down. I still have 2 alive. |
| jeffweico | 10-09-2013 04:57 PM | Re: How did amazon link my accounts? Can I ask, if you feel comfortable answering the question, why you need so many buyer accounts? Is there a limit imposed on the specific item? I'm just curious, because if I wanted to buy hard drives (just as an example) I don't think it would be a problem for me to just go on to Amazon and order 50 of them...
I am not at all familiar with Windows 8 and have limited knowledge of exactly how VMware works, so hopefully someone else can chime in on that one.
If the item is in the top 10, then I don't see how they could link by that alone.
My fast response is just because I happened to be on the forum when you posted. But usually, people get responses here pretty quickly. |

| MICKY H | 10-09-2013 05:55 PM | Re: How did amazon link my accounts? Amazon most probably have not linked the accounts but don't like what your doing. "drop shipping". This puts amazon at greater risk on claims for non delivery etc. |

Re: How did amazon link my accounts? @900ex, I prob sound like a broken record around here but did you ALWAYS have working cc with amount on it for Amazon test charges? |

| GhostMaster | 10-12-2013 06:15 AM | Re: How did amazon link my accounts? Creating stealth buying account is much harder than selling account. for selling account, I could create as many as I want, but for buying account I've failed many times. some accounts got deleted after 4-5 orders and it's gone for no reason. Now I know how to keep buying account longer, but it really take time.
- @ 900ex : Basically you don't have to change Mac Address, No one can read your PC Mac Address unless you're on the same/shared network with others.
- you can change your mac address on Win 8 easily without any tool. But again it's not necessary to do that since Amazon won't be able to see it. |
