| codix | 10-20-2013 01:33 PM | question about router/modem mac address hi , i have a modem/router (huawei g530)of my ISP,and i can't change the mac address of this, for make a ghost account i have buy another router or i can simply make a virtual pc and change my ip address? |
| BigCJ | 10-20-2013 01:40 PM | Re: question about router/modem mac address You might want to consider using a dongle to change the IP address along with VMware to get a new mac address per machine.
Thats currently what I am doing since my ISP does not allow my modem to change either. |
| barrycruan | 10-20-2013 01:55 PM | Re: question about router/modem mac address This is exacltly what I'm talking about. A MAC address can't be seen by amazon. A unique IP address is enough. |

When you say this, are you talking about only by using VMware (ie MAC address), or is this true with 'user accounts' also?
Thanks |
| codix | 10-20-2013 04:47 PM | Re: question about router/modem mac address if reboot my router/modem i see that my ip change,is this enough?
i make a clean installation of windows on VMware(the pc address change) and reboot the router/modem for the new ip
or amazon see first the mac adress of my router/modem |
| barrycruan | 10-20-2013 08:59 PM | Re: question about router/modem mac address The mac address cant be seen in any of those circumstances. Your mac address is only passed on to the next "hop" with your internet connection so unless amazon are next door or you are in the same building they do not get the mac address.
There are some rare exceptions where it may be possible for them to see it, as mentioned above. but that is just to cover myself from people in these forums rather than relvant info as MAC is not currently tracked by amazon and there are plenty of people in the forums who will now vouch for this. |
| codix | 10-21-2013 12:20 AM | Re: question about router/modem mac address you mean the pc mac address or the router / modem mac address?
so if i use vmware and new ip(if reboot the router my ip change) my account is ghost? |

The modem/router combo is not good for stealth.
- Get the stand alone modem and separate router for better result
- You can change your router MAC to get new IP if using Cable Internet
- You can change your modem MAC address. However, you CAN'T connect to the Internet because it control by your ISP. By all mean, change your modem MAC address is USELESS and you DON'T need to do it |

if i reboot the modem/router my ip change,is this enough? | Just gave my advice, you believe it or not doesn't matter to me. Question on people answer is not a good idea when they just try to help. |
| codix | 10-21-2013 02:25 PM | Re: question about router/modem mac address sorry but i only have make a question
because first someone says that amazon don't see the mac addreess
instead you wrote that I have to change my modem/router
is not very clear |
| TonyAlmeida | 10-21-2013 06:15 PM | Re: question about router/modem mac address I'm not saying anything about Amazon can read your MAC or not. The point is the combo modem/router is not good to run stealth and the stand a long modem and separate router is better for your solution.
Just search the forum and you will know what I mean. |

The other option just more easy that's all
If you get your IP change by restart your modem/router, it's good enough |
